1.2 Operation

1.2.1 Indicator Light

The printer status description is shown in Table 1-1:

Light on The printer is powered on

1.2.2 Button

The printer has two buttons: (1) Paper Feed (LF) ; (2) Setting (SET)

Feed Paper: After turning on the printer, press the LF button to feed paper.

Self-Test:
1. When the printer is powered off, press and hold the “LF” button;
2. Do not release the LF button and power on the printer at the same time, the
printer will print out the “self-test” slip.

Setting:
1. When the printer is powered off, press and hold the “SET” button and power on
the printer. The printer prints the setting slip and enters the setting state;
2. In the setting state, press the SET button to enter setting item selection state.
Then press SET button again to switch to different setting item;
3. In the item selection state, press the “LF” button to select the current item and
enter setting item value selection state. In this state, press LF button again to
switch to different setting item value. After selecting the required value, press SET
button to confirm it and return to item selection state;
4. The printer should be restarted after setting. The selected setting item value is
stored and effective.

Chapter 2 Power and Communication

2.1 Power Interface

The printer uses DC 5V / 3A power supply. A power cord is supplied with the printer
(red is positive and white is negative). The power interface uses 3P straight socket
XH2.54, as shown in Figure 2-1:

The power interface pin definitions are shown in Table 2-1

2.2 Communication Interface

2.2.1 TTL / RS232 Interface

The printer has TTL and RS232 interface for communication, as shown in below Figure

The interface TTL and RS232 have the same pin definitions, as shown in below table:

High level means the printer is busy and cannot receive data

Low level means the printer is ready to receive data
3 TXD Output Printer sends data to the host
5 RXD Input Printer receives data from the host
9 GND - Signal ground

Note: (1) “Output” – Data is sent out from the printer

(2) “Input” – Data is sent into the printer

2.2.2 RS485 Interface

The RS485 interface pin definitions are shown in below table:

The Parallel interface pin definitions are shown in below table:

parallel data respectively.

The signal is high when its logic is "1".

It is a pulse for answering. "Low" level indicates that
19 ACK OUT the data has been accepted and the printer is ready
to receive the next data.
"High" level indicates the printer is "busy" and
21 BUSY OUT
cannot receive data.
23 PE OUT "High" level indicates the printer is online.
