INTRODUCTION

Earlier Student Analysis was done manually with all the data and paper work for students
in various sectors and predicting or analysis from this huge data was very difficult.
Implementing Power BI for student analysis will revolutionize the way educators understand and
support student success. With centralized data accessibility and dynamic visualizations, educators
gain deeper insights into student performance trends and patterns. Timely intervention becomes
possible through real- time data monitoring and predictive analytics, enabling educators to
proactively address student needs. Personalized learning experiences can be tailored to individual
students based on their unique strengths and weaknesses. By fostering collaboration and data-
driven decision-making, Power BI empowers educators to improve student
outcomes and drive continuous improvement across the institution.

The program commenced with an exploration of fundamental concepts such as software

development models, cloud computing models, and the importance of cloud technology in today's
digital landscape. Interns were introduced to the key features and benefits of cloud computing and
gained insights into various cloud service models, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS),
Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).

As the program progressed, interns delved deeper into the Microsoft Azure ecosystem,
learning about Azure architecture, compute services, networking, identity management, and
security. Practical exercises provided hands-on experience in creating virtual machines, container
instances, and exploring Azure's storage services.

In subsequent weeks, interns explored advanced topics such as AI workloads on Azure,

including machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing (NLP). Practical
sessions enabled interns to develop an understanding of AI principles, explore Azure tools for AI
tasks, and gain insights into responsible AI practices.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

 Title of the Project: UK Bank Report Analysis using Power BI

 Problem Definition:
The sales department at Domin, a leading retail company, faces challenges in efficiently
analyzing and visualizing sales data to gain actionable insights. With vast amounts of
transactional data generated daily, the manual analysis process is time-consuming and prone to
errors. There is a pressing need for a comprehensive data visualization solution that can
streamline the analysis process, provide intuitive visualizations, and uncover hidden trends and
patterns in sales data.

 Aim & Objectives:

Objective 1: Develop an interactive sales report dashboard using Power BI.

Objective 2: Integrate various data sources and perform data cleaning and transformation to
ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Objective 3: Create dynamic visualizations, including charts, graphs, and KPIs, to represent
sales performance metrics and trends.

Objective 4: Implement drill-down and filtering capabilities to allow users to explore sales data
at granular levels and extract meaningful insights.

10
MOTIVATION

As today's client data is very important to visualize and the Power BI tool helps to visualize the
data properly, Power BI is a business analytics service provided by Microsoft that lets you
visualize your data and share insights. It converts data from different sources to build
interactive dashboards and business intelligence reports.

· Connect to data
· Transform and model the data
· Create charts and graphs
· Create reports and dashboards that are collections of visuals
· Share reports with others using the Power BI service

11
METHODOLOGICAL DETAILS

1. Requirement Analysis:
a. Conducted thorough discussions with stakeholders to understand their requirements and
pain points regarding sales reporting.
b. Analyzed existing sales data formats and reporting structures to identify areas for
improvement.
c. Documented detailed functional and non-functional requirements to guide the development
process.

2. Software Requirements:
a. Power BI Desktop: Used for data modeling, visualization, and report creation.
b. Microsoft Excel: Used for data preprocessing and cleansing.
c. SQL Server Management Studio: Used for database management and querying (if
applicable).
d. Cloud Storage Service (e.g., Azure Blob Storage): Used for storing large volumes of sales
data.

3. Hardware Requirements:
a. Standard desktop or laptop computer with sufficient processing power and memory to run
Power BI Desktop and other required software.
b. High-speed internet connection for accessing cloud-based data storage and collaborating
with team members remotely.

12
DESIGN AND DRAWING:

1. Identify Visualizations: Choose essential visualizations like bar charts, line graphs, and pie
charts.
2. Sketch Layout: Roughly sketch the dashboard layout, allocating space for each visualization and
interactive elements.
3. Design Visualizations: Create each visualization based on project requirements.
4. Incorporate Interactivity: Add filters and slicers to enable user interaction.
5. Create Mockups: Use design software to create digital mockups, incorporating feedback and
making
revisions as needed.
6. Finalize Drawing: Produce a final drawing or digital representation of your Power BI dashboard.
7. Document Design: Document design decisions and rationale for future reference.

CONCLUSION

In wrapping up, our project focused on using Power BI to understand how students are performing
in school. By collecting and organizing data, we created easy-to-understand graphs and charts to
show things like which groups of students might need extra help or how performance changes over
time.

The Power BI dashboard we built isn't just about numbers – it's a tool for teachers and school
leaders to make smarter decisions. With clear visuals, they can quickly see what's working well
and what needs attention, helping them support students better.

Ultimately, our project highlights the importance of using data to improve education. By giving
educators the right information, we're helping them make a real difference in students' lives. And
as we continue, we're excited to see how these insights can lead to even more positive changes in
schools
