1. How do you keep yourself as an important agent of transformation
(as a teacher, educator, administrator, researcher, etc.) in your
school and community amid the VUCAD world today?
To keep myself as an important agent of transformation, I will make
sure that I am updated with the knowledge and skills of our changing
world. This is to help me know more strategies that I can share with
others. To do that, I will join trainings or seminars that will help
me improve my knowledge. I will develop my digital literacy. In our
world today, technology is very important. It will help me enhance my
teaching effectively. I will also help my students develop their
critical thinking skills. In a VUCAD world, having critical skills may
help them analyze the problem they might encounter, and solve it
independently. I will also encourage them to see the challenges as an
opportunity for learning and growth. I will also make sure that in my
classroom, it will be a student-centered learning. I will prioritize
the needs and interests of my students. I will make them feel that
they are accepted and supported. In order for me to be informed about
emerging trends, I will stay up-to-date with the latest trends and
research in education. This will help me identify the issues and
opportunities for positive change. I believe that all of these will
help me and my students n this VUCAD world that we have today.

2. Cite few pressing global trends and issues confronting teachers


and schools and tell how they affect our educational systems,
processes and services.
Here are the pressing global trends and issues that the teachers and
schools are having today:

 Digital Trend = Technology has a rapid advancement nowadays, and


it brought both opportunities and challenges in the education.
Teachers and schools need to adapt to this. Specially when
pandemic came, the schools made used of the online resources and
digital tools to make sure that learning continues. Even the
“old-school” teachers were forced to learn how to use the digital
tools. With this, seminars and trainings were created in order to
help the teachers be knowledgeable with the technology.
 Environmental Sustainability Education = Our world is
experiencing climate change and other environmental issues. With
these issues, the teachers and schools must design activities
that will engage the students to save the environment. Also, a
seminar should be given to students so that they will be more
knowledgeable about how to save the Earth.
 Inclusivity and Diversity = Every school should be inclusive and
diverse to cater the needs of the students. Teachers must be
prepared to address a wide range of learning styles, cultural
backgrounds, and individual abilities. Schools are challenged to
create environments that foster inclusivity, but this may require
policy changes and professional development for teachers.
