Test I – Essay (10 points each)

Direction: Answer the following questions comprehensively based on what you have
learned from the following topics presented by your instructor, you can cite recent
authors or articles to support your arguments if possible. Your answers must not be less
than 300 words. You can submit either handwritten or computerized.

1. The theory of Gardner presented 7 Multiple Intelligences. Based on this premise,

as future educator how are you going to incorporated these intelligences in the
teaching and learning process? Consider in your answer the laws and nature of learning
that might influence your learners readiness and ability to learn. How would learning
these theories influence you views towards modern education?

ANS.

According to Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, people learn in

different ways and traditional measures of intelligence, like IQ tests, don't cover all of a
person's cognitive abilities. There are seven types of intelligence, according to Gardner:
musical, spatial, logical-mathematical, linguistic, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, and
intrapersonal. Understudies frequently compare insight with grades as well as grades.
However, the multiple intelligences theory of Howard Gardner can demonstrate to
students that they are all intelligent in different ways. Their self-assurance and drive to
learn may be enhanced by this perspective.

As a future educator, I would incorporate these multiple intelligences into the

teaching and learning process by using a variety of teaching strategies and materials
that appeal to different types of learners. For example, I might use linguistic activities,
such as reading and writing assignments, for students who have strong linguistic
intelligence, while using spatial activities, such as puzzles and maps, for students who
have strong spatial intelligence. I might also use music and movement for students who
have strong musical or bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, and group work and role-playing
activities for students who have strong interpersonal intelligence.

By giving students multiple ways to engage with the material and express their
understanding, incorporating multiple intelligences into the teaching and learning
process can help increase learners' readiness and ability to learn. It can also contribute
to the creation of a learning environment that is more welcoming and supportive for
students who may not learn as well using conventional methods. My perspective on
contemporary education has changed as a result of learning about the theory of
multiple intelligences. It has reminded me that not all students learn in the same way
and that it is important to consider my students' various learning preferences and
needs. It has also inspired me to be more flexible and creative in my teaching and to
look for ways to make learning more fun and meaningful for all of my students.

2. The Philippine education system generally aims to produce globally competent

workforce. Based on this goal, should you as future educator continue follow the
theories of learning in that you learned in this course? Present your arguments by
discussing the applicability of these theories in the present scenario of education

ANS.

- As a future educator, it is important to be aware of various learning theories and how

they can be applied in the classroom. These theories provide a framework for
understanding how students learn and can help educators design effective instructional
strategies and assessments. With an essential comprehension of learning speculations,
we can make illustrations that improve the educational experience. We can better
explain our instructional choices, or the "why" behind what and how we teach, with this
comprehension.

One theory that may be particularly relevant in the current education landscape is
constructivism, which posits that learners actively construct their own understanding of
the world through their experiences and interactions with it. In a globalized and rapidly
changing world, it is important for students to be able to construct their own
understanding of complex and nuanced issues, and constructivism can provide a useful
framework for facilitating this process.

Social learning theory, which emphasizes the significance of social interactions and
modeling in learning, is another theory that may be useful in the current educational
environment. Students need to be able to learn and work with others in a world that is
becoming more and more interconnected. Social learning theory can help explain how
this happens.

In the end, a learning theory's applicability will be determined by the learner's specific
objectives, requirements, and learning environment. In order to meet the diverse needs
of your students, a future educator will need to be familiar with a variety of learning
theories and be able to adapt and apply them as needed.

3. Using a Venn Diagram, compare and contrast the different theories of learnings. Fill
in the 3 circles with its similarities and differences. Please write only the key points,
phrases or clauses. How would the implementation of these theories influence the
overall Teaching and learning process in the 21st century?

states.

Overall, the implementation of these theories can have a significant impact on

the way teaching and learning is approached in the 21st century. By understanding and
applying these theories, teachers can create more effective and engaging learning
environments that support the diverse needs of their students.
One example of a theory that has had a significant influence on teaching and
learning in the 21st century is constructivism, which emphasizes the idea that learners
construct their own understanding of the world through their experiences and
interactions with their environment. This theory suggests that the role of the teacher is
to provide a rich and supportive learning environment in which students can explore,
discover, and construct their own knowledge.
4. This course presented several topics for you to learn. What do you think is the most
relevant topic that has a long-lasting impact to you and how are you going to apply this
learnings as future educator?

ANS.

The most relevant topic that has a long-lasting impact to me is the

constructivism because as a future educator I would apply constructivism in my
teaching by adopting a student-centered approach and facilitating the learning process
rather than simply delivering information to my students. I would create a learning
environment that is collaborative and supportive, where students feel comfortable
asking questions and contributing their ideas.

I would gladly create learning objectives that are clear and aligned with the goals
of the course. I would then use a variety of teaching methods, such as problem-based
learning, experiential learning, and inquiry-based learning, to help students construct
their own understanding of the subject matter

As a constructivist educator, I would also recognize that each student brings

their own unique background, experiences, and perspectives to the learning process. I
would strive to create a diverse and inclusive learning environment that values and
promotes equity and inclusivity. I would also encourage students to draw connections
between their own experiences and the subject matter, as this can help to make the
material more relevant and meaningful to them.

I would also encourage students to reflect on their learning and assess their own
progress, as this helps them to identify their strengths and areas for improvement. I
would provide ongoing feedback and support to help students develop their skills and
knowledge, and I would be open to adapting my teaching approach based on student
feedback and needs.

Overall, as a future educator, I would apply constructivism by adopting a

student-centered approach, using a variety of teaching methods, encouraging self-
reflection and self-assessment, and creating a diverse and inclusive learning
environment. By doing so, I hope to help students construct their own understanding of
the subject matter and develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their
studies and beyond.

5. Centered from what you have learned from the topics being presented in this course,
summarize the lessons you acquired by creating a Framework/Concept that details your
overall understanding on this course?

ANS.

My thinking learning hypotheses offer calculated structures for fathoming how

information is delivered, how data is used, and the way that learning happens. If we
have a fundamental understanding of learning theories, we can create courses that
make learning easier. These frameworks allow learning designers to apply them in
accordance with a variety of learner and learning needs and make better decisions
about the best instructional practices. By analyzing what students have learned and
how far they have come, this will help them reflect on their learning experience,
develop their critical thinking abilities, and improve their performance in the future. It's
true that it gives us a sense of accomplishment and helps us remember what we've
learned. When we really think about our challenges and encounters., We are able to
identify gratifying experiences and new things we would like to try in the future. In
order to select the instructional strategies that will provide the most support for
particular gifted students and to design learning environments that are tailored to their
particular learning profiles and requirements, these educators must also possess a
theoretical understanding. Through this process, we can identify satisfying experiences
and things we can try differently in the future.

6. Based on your understanding, visualize the importance of knowing the concept of

individual differences. Your answer should be in a form of drawing. Then, provide at
least 1 page of your explanation about the image you pictured out through a drawing.

Individual Differences: A Call for Unity

The individual differences are a cornerstone effective area in modern psychology, it is

referred for the psychology of the person that differences between the individuals and
their similarities. Looking back to our ancient philosophers who contributed wide-
ranging theories for the knowledge of individuals, Plato from 2000 years ago stated that
the two persons are born exactly alike but each differs from the other by natural
endowments, where one will be exited for occupation purpose and where as other will
be for another perspectives. According also from the western psychology approach to
individual differences is assumed as: Persons will be different in range of psychological
attributes. Thus, we, people, have been aware of individual differences in history by
gender differences, intelligence difference by religion, status, and by education, with
unique personality differences, job satisfactions, and organizational competence we
branded with. Though we are all pre-defined by it, still we’re ignorant from anything we
still believed to be impossible not knowing the factual proof we see.
In this modern world, it has formalized that the individual differs from their values,
personality, self-esteem, and attitudes, Though, contemporary world the individual
differences are fully based on the bonds of organizational sequences like birth,
education, work, and death. Where we are shaped by the liberty, equality, and
fraternity and thus, the concept of identity which cannot be defined easily, as it refers
on how we build a relation with others in this world by the way we constructs,
interprets, and understand ourselves. Thus, our country, the Philippines, is known for
its Unity in Diversity. We constantly celebrate our diversity in our various festivals and
activities. Human beings must celebrate their differences and their commonalities
through awareness, exchange, conversation, and learning. An opportunity will emerge
to pave our way towards a path of peace, harmony, and love through dialogue and
cooperation between very distinct, and perhaps even conflicting opinions and ideas. It
would allow us to overcome our fear of the unknown and leave behind the ignorance in
which and in which we appear to live. The world around us offers us much to celebrate
in these diverse cultures, ethnicities, religions, and in its many art forms. And hence,
our diversity must be honored. In smiles, celebration finds itself. To pass on those
smiles to everyone we meet, to learn what the same smile might mean something
completely different to a person who comes from a different context than ours. Maybe,
with this celebration will lead to a greater cause for celebration - it can lead to a mosaic
of cultures and ideas-making us all one, while letting us shine in the glory of our
differences.
Let us come together and celebrate these differences in a world, where everyone seems
to be increasingly intolerant towards all that seems “different”. We genuinely must
celebrate and be proud of this uniqueness because with indifferences we make the
world what it is.
