PROCESS TO ACHIEVE
OBJECTIVES
Payroll Processing:
• The payroll HR team is responsible for accurately processing and
disbursing employee salaries and wages in a timely manner.
• This involves calculating earnings based on hours worked, salaries,
commissions, and any applicable bonuses or incentives. They also
handle deductions for taxes, insurance premiums, retirement
contributions, and other withholdings.
Compliance and Legal Requirements:
• Payroll HR professionals must ensure that all payroll activities adhere
to relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and other statutory
requirements.
• They need to stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and ensure
proper deductions and reporting for income tax, social security,
unemployment insurance, and other payroll-related obligations.
Employee Records and Documentation:
• The payroll HR department maintains accurate employee records
related to compensation, benefits, and deductions.
• This includes gathering and verifying employee information,
updating records for changes in salary, position, or personal
details, and ensuring data security and confidentiality.
• Benefits Administration:
• While benefits administration may fall under the purview of other
HR functions, payroll HR is often involved in coordinating and
managing employee benefits related to payroll. This includes
deductions for health insurance, retirement plans, flexible
spending accounts, and other voluntary benefits.
Payroll Reporting and Analysis:
• Payroll HR professionals generate various reports and analytics
related to payroll data.
• These reports may include payroll summaries, tax reports, benefits
utilization reports, and other analyses that provide insights into
labor costs, budgeting, and forecasting.
Communication and Support:
• The payroll HR department acts as a point of contact for
employees regarding payroll-related inquiries, such as paycheck
issues, tax forms, and benefit deductions.
• They provide assistance and clarification on payroll matters and
ensure effective communication with employees, managers, and
other stakeholders.
