 GB universal remote control
Using a pre-programmed universal remote con-
trol is a quick and simple solution for replacing
lost, broken or malfunctioning original remote
controls. As it can replace 10 remote controls
at the same time, you can simultaneously control
your TV set, video cassette recorder, satellite
receiver, stereo system etc. without having to hold
several remotes in hand.
Due to its nature, its primary purpose to
operate the most indispensable basic functions,
which means that in some cases you may not be
able to access some extra functions offered by out-
standingly sophisticated devices.

Code setting by brand

If you can find the brand and the type of the device
(TV, VCR, satellite receiver etc.) in the enclosed list,
you can enter the operating code directly.
1. Find the brand of your device and the corre-
sponding three-digit code (e.g. Aiwa TV set:
261)
2. Turn on the TV set or other device manually.
If you are using a VCR then also insert a
cassette.
3. Press and hold the SET button then press
the button corresponding to the type of
device you want to control: TV: television / VCR:
video cassette recorder / AUX: stereo
system / SAT: satellite receiver
4. Release all buttons as soon as the red LED
located next to the SET button goes on.
5. Enter the selected three-digit code within 10
seconds. If the code is valid, the LED goes out.
If the code you entered is invalid (e.g. 777), the
LED will stay on after two rapid flashes. You can
now re-enter the code.
6. Direct the remote control toward the device
you have previously turned on, and try if it
operates the device.
7. If the remote control operates the device but
there are other codes associated with the
chosen brand, try these other codes as well.
The best choice is the code which operates the
most functions properly (that is, most buttons
perform the functions written above them).
In some cases, codes associated with other
brands may also be used. The easiest way to
find out whether that is the case is to use the
quick search function.

Code setting by quick search

If you cannot find the brand name of the device
you want to operate in the detailed list, or if you
can find the code but it fails to provide optimal
performance*, you may still be able to use the
remote control. In such cases use the quick search
function to determine what other codes may be
used to operate the device. You can move through
all entered codes one by one.
1. Turn on the TV set or other device manually.
If you are using a VCR then also insert a
cassette.
2. Press and hold the SET button then press

3. Release all buttons as soon as the red LED
located next to the SET button goes on.
4. Press the SET button again and then release it.
The LED will start flashing, which shows that the
remote control unit is in quick search mode.
5. Direct the remote control toward the
device you want to operate and press the
POWER button (if you are using a VCR, press
PLAY). Watch the reaction, whether the TV
is turned off or the VCR starts playing the
cassette.** If the device reacts, test the other
buttons as well. If nothing happens, press
the POWER again and again until the device
switches off. The remote control sends a signal
corresponding to the next brand code each time
you press the button.

*note: Due to the versatility of the product

and the constantly increasing number of tele-
communication devices in the world market, it
is impossible to prepare an up-to-date list of all
manufacturers, brands and product types compatible
with the remote control.
As manufacturers often take over technologies from
one another, and, in addition, the same manufacturer may
use different codes in its various product lines, there
may be several overlaps in operating codes. In some
cases, several codes may operate the device (even
codes assigned to other manufacturers), the only
difference being that one code provides access to more
functions than the others, or sometimes the functions of
the buttons may get mixed up.
Therefore, it is advisable to try all codes that operate the
device and then choose the one that provides highest
functionality.

**note: some devices react to signals slower,

so make sure you wait for enough time between
pressing the POWER button again and again. All
buttons function properly in code search mode, so
they you can test them before moving on to the next
code. Pressing the SET button changes the search
direction.
You can exit the quick search mode by pressing any
device selection button (e.g. TV) or by not pressing any
button for 30 seconds.

Automatic quick search

This function automatically runs through all codes.
You may as well put the remote control on your
coffee table and wait for your device to react.
1. Turn on manually the device you want to
operate.
2. Press the appropriate device selection
button (e.g. TV)
3. Press and hold the SET button and, while
doing so, press the POWER button. The LED will
go on after 3 seconds
4. Direct the remote control toward the device and
release all buttons. The remote control will start
running through the codes automatically.
5. If the device reacts to any of the codes, you
can stop the automatic process by pressing
any of the buttons. After having run through
all the codes, the LED will go off and the

 remote control will switch off. This may take a
few minutes.

Reading a selected code

If you find the proper code with the quick search
function, it is advisable to note it down to make its
reselection easier. The number of the flashes the
LED makes is equal to the first, second and third
digits of the three-digit number respectively.

Press and hold the SET button and, while doing so,
press a number button (1-2-3) to find out the values
of the various digits. Then release both buttons and
count the flashes.
For example, if the selected code is 261:
1. SET + ”1”: 2 flashes
2. SET + “2”: 6 flashes
3. SET + “3”: 1 flash
note: no flash means zero

Battery replacement
The batteries need to be replaced if the LED
dims out you experience a drop in the range. The
battery compartment cover may be removed
by sliding it in the direction of the arrow. Insert
two AAA 1.5 V batteries according to specified
polarity pattern. It is advisable to use long life
(alkaline) batteries. Rechargeable batteries are not
recommended. Do not mix batteries from
different manufacturers.
Codes selected earlier are retained in the
memory while batteries are being replaced.
Pressing any of the buttons while replacing the
batteries may result in data loss!

Warning
Do not expose the remote control to direct heat,
sunlight, dust, steam or shock.
Remove dust regularly using a soft cloth.
Make sure that no liquid substance is spilt on the
keypad.

Der vorprogrammierte universelle Fernbediener
stellt eine ideelle Lösung für den schnellen und
einfachen Ersatz der verlorengegangenen,
zerbrochenen oder defekten ursprünglichen
Fernbediener.
Da er zu gleicher Zeit 10 Fernbediener zu
ersetzen vermag, besteht die Möglichkeit,
Fernseher, Videorecorder, Satellitenempfänger
und Hi-Fi-Anlage gleichzeitig zu steuern ohne
mehrere Fernbediener zu behandeln müssen.
Von seiner Natur aus ist das primäre Ziel die
Betätigung unentbehrlicher grundlegender
Funktionen, daher können die Extras von
komplizierter oder mit zahlreichen Zusatz-
funktionen ausgerüsteten Anlagen gelegentlich
nicht verwendet werden.

Einstellung des Kodes in Abhängigkeit von der

Marke
Der Betätigungskode der Anlage kann unmit-
telbar angegeben werden, wenn wir in der
beigelegten Liste die Marke und die Art der
Anlage identifizieren können (Fernseher, Video-
recorder, Satellitenempfänger...).
1. Die Marke und die zugehörige dreistellige
Kodenummer aussuchen (z. B. Fernsehgerät
von Fabrikat Aiwa: 261)
2. Den Fernseher oder das andere Gerät manuell
einschalten. Beim Videorecorder legen wir
auch eine Kassette ein.
3. Die Taste SET wählen, und eingedrückt halten,
indem wir die andere Taste – mit der wir
die Anlage steuern wünschen – ebenfalls
betätigen: TV: Fernseher / VCR: Videorecor-
der / AUX: Hi-Fi / SAT: Satellitenempfänger.
4. Als die rote LED-Anzeige neben der Taste SET
zu blinken beginnt, die Tasten loslassen.
5. In 10 Sekunden die vorerst ausgesuchte
dreistellige Kodenummer eingeben. Bei
Eingabe eines reellen Kodes erlischt die
Anzeige, bei falschem Kode leuchtet sie nach
zwei kurzen Blinken weiter. Wir können dann
einen nächsten Versuch starten.
6. Richten wir den Fernbediener der im Voraus
eingeschalteten Anlage zu, und machen
eine Probe, ob die Tastatur eine Betätigung
bewirkt.
7. Funktioniert zwar die Anlage, aber finden
wir auch weitere Kodenummer zu unserer
ausgewählten Marke, so sollten wir auch
diese ausprobieren. Letzten Endes sollten
wir bei dem Kode bleiben, mit der die meisten
Funktionen bestimmungstreu betätigt
werden können (die Beschriftung der
Tastatur stimmt mit der gesteuerten
Funktion überein). Gegebenenfalls können
auch die Kodes anderer Marken verwendet
werden, es lohnt sich, eine schnelle Suche
vorzunehmen.

Einstellung des Kodes mit Schnellsuche

Sollten wir die Marke der zu betätigen
gewünschten Anlage in der ausführlichen Liste
nicht finden, oder wir finden sie, aber der Kode
nicht die richtige Funktion bewirkt*, bedeu-

 tet diese Tatsache durchaus nicht, dass der
Fernbediener nicht zu gebrauchen sei.

In diesem Falle lohnt es sich mittels einer Schnell-

suche zu prüfen, mit welchem sonstigen Kode
die Anlage gesteuert werden könnte. Sämtliche
eingegebenen Koden können in Einzelschritt
abgerufen werden.
1. Fernseher oder sonstiges Gerät manuell
einschalten, beim Videorecorder eine
Kassette einlegen.
2. Die Taste SET wählen, und eingedrückt halten,
indem wir die andere Taste – mit der wir
die Anlage steuern wünschen – ebenfalls
betätigen: TV: Fernseher / VCR: Videorecor-
der / AUX: Hi-Fi / SAT: Satellitenempfänger.
3. Als die rote LED-Anzeige neben der Taste SET
zu blinken beginnt, die Tasten loslassen.
4. Erneut die Taste SET wählen und loslassen.
Das Blinken der LED zeigt an, dass der
Fernbediener den Betrieb Schnellsuche
gestartet hat.
5. Richten wir den Fernbediener der Anlage
zu, und betätigen die Taste POWER (bei
Videorecorder die Taste „Abspielen“). Auf
die Wirkung achten: schaltet sich der
Fernseher ab, oder wird die Kassette
abgespielt?** Wenn die Anlage reagiert, auch
die Funktion der anderen Tasten überprüfen.
Gibt es keine Reaktion, die Taste POWER
so lange betätigen, bis sich die Anlage
abschaltet. Jede erneute Betätigung
vermittelt einen neuen Markenkode dem
Apparat.

*Bemerkung: Wegen der Vielfältigkeit des Produktes

und des ständig zunehmenden Angebotes auf der
Unterhaltungselektronik im Weltmarkt ist
es unmöglich, exakt und tagfertig die aktuelle
Liste von Produkten, Marken und Hersteller
zu bestimmen, zu denen das Gerät gebraucht
werden kann. Weil die Hersteller oftmals bei
ihren Anlagen voneinander übernommene tech-
nische Lösungen anwenden, und ein bestimmter
Hersteller auch oft mehrere in einer Produktgruppe,
die Betätigungskoden können einander über-
lappen. Es kann möglich sein, auch mehrere Koden
auszuwählen (sogar unter Markennamen
unterschiedlicher Hersteller), die die erwünschte
Anlage zu betätigen vermögen, jedoch ist der eine für
weniger, der andere für mehr Funktionen geeignet, oder
können die Tastenfunktionen sich verwechseln. Es ist
also ratsam, alle Koden auszuprobieren, bei denen
die Anlage reagiert, und nachdem uns für den besten
entscheiden.

**Bemerkung: Manche Anlagen reagieren langsamer

auf die Befehle, deshalb sollte man genügend Zeit
lassen zwischen den erneuten Betätigungen der
Taste POWER. Während der Kodesuche funktionieren
alle Tasten einwandfrei, so diese können vor dem
Weiterschreiten ausprobiert werden. Die Taste SET
ändert die Suchrichtung ab. Wir können das Menü
Schnellsuche mit der Betätigung beliebiger Taste
(z. B. TV) verlassen. Dasselbe erfolgt, wenn wir über
30 Sekunden keinen neuen Befehl ausgeben.

Automatische Schnellsuche
Sie sucht ohne Eingriff, automatisch sämtliche
Koden ab. Wir können sogar den Fernbediener

 auf den Tisch legen und auf die Reaktion unserer
Anlage warten.
1. Das gewünschte Gerät manuell einschalten.
2. Auf die entsprechende Taste (z. B. TV)
drücken.
3. Die Tasten SET und gleichzeitig die POWER
betätigen. Nach 3 Sekunden beginnt die LED
zu leuchten.
4. Den Fernbediener der Anlage zu richten, und
die Tasten loslassen. Der automatische Lauf
beginnt.
5. Bei einer Reaktion der Anlage kann die Suche
mit beliebiger Taste unterbrochen werden.
Nach Ablauf sämtlicher Koden erlischt die LED
und der Fernbediener schaltet ab. Es dauert
einige Minuten.

Ablesen des eingestellten Kodes

Um eine spätere, wiederholte Einstellung zu
erleichtern ist es empfehlenswert, die mit
Schnellsuche gefundene richtige Kodenummer
uns zu notieren. Die erste, zweite und dritte
Ziffer der dreistelligen Nummer entspricht den
Nummern der Aufleuchten der LED-Anzeige.
Die Taste SET betätigen eingedrückt halten,
gleichzeitig die Zahltaste, auf die wir neugierig
sind (1-2-3), ebenfalls betätigen. Beide Tasten
loslassen und die Aufleuchten zählen.
Zum Beispiel ist der eingestellte Kode 261:
1. SET + „1”: 2 Aufleuchten
2. SET + „2”: 6 Aufleuchten
3. SET + „3”: 1 Aufleuchten
Bemerkung: gibt es kein Aufleuchten, dann ist die
Ziffer gleich 0.

Batterie wechseln
Beim Erblassen der LED-Anzeige oder Minderung
der Reichweite ist der Austausch der Batterien
erforderlich. Der Deckel des Batteriefaches kann
mittels Wegschieben in Pfeilrichtung entfernt
werden. Dann sind der angegebenen Polarität
entsprechend zwei Stück Batterien des Typs
AAA, von 1,5 V einzulegen. Es ist ratsam, Dauer-
batterien anzuwenden (alkalische Batterien).
Eine Anwendung von Akkumulatoren ist nicht
bevorzugt, Batterien unterschiedlichen Typs
sollten nicht gemischt werden.
Während des Batteriewechsels speichert der
Speicher den früher ausgewählten Kode. Die
Betätigung von Tasten verursacht das Löschen
der gespeicherten Daten.

Hinweise
Fernbediener vor unmittelbarer Wärmeein-
wirkung, Sonnenstrahlung, Staub, Dampf und
Schläge schützen!
Den Staub regelmäßig mit weichem Tuch
entfernen!
Darauf achten, dass keine Flüssigkeit auf die
Tastatur spritzen darf!

Az előreprogramozott, univerzális távirányító ideális
megoldás az elveszett, eltörött vagy elromlott ere-
deti távirányítók gyors és egyszerű helyettesítésére.
Mivel egyidejűleg 10 távirányítót képes pótolni,
lehetőség nyílik egyszerre vezérelni pl. a televíziót,
videomagnót, műholdvevőt, Hi-Fi készüléket stb.,
anélkül, hogy több távirányítót kellene kézbe fogni.
Természetéből adódóan elsődleges célja a nélkü-
lözhetetlen alapfunkciók működtetése, ezért a
bonyolultabb vagy kiemelkedően sok szolgáltatás-
sal rendelkező berendezéseknél esetenként nem
használhatók azok extra szolgáltatásai.

Kód beállítása márka szerint

A berendezést működtető kód közvetlenül megad-
ható, ha a mellékelt listában beazonosítható a
márka és a berendezés jellege (TV, videomagnó,
műholdvevő...).
1. Keresse meg készülékének márkáját és a
hozzá tartozó háromjegyű kódszámot. (pl. Aiwa
gyártmányú televízió: 261)
2. Kapcsolja be kézzel a televíziót, vagy más be-
rendezést. Videomagnó esetén helyezzen be egy
kazettát is.
3. Nyomja meg és tartsa lenyomva a SET gombot,
majd azt a billentyűt, amely berendezést vezérel-
ni kívánja: TV: televízió / VCR: videomagnó /
AUX: Hi-Fi / SAT: műholdvevő
4. Amikor a SET melletti piros LED visszajelző
világítani kezd, a gombokat el kell engedni.
5. 10 másodpercen belül üsse be az előzőleg
kiválasztott háromjegyű kódszámot. Létező kód
beütése esetén kialszik a visszajelző. Téves kód
megadásakor (pl. 777) két rövid felvillanást
követően továbbra is világít. Ekkor újra lehet
próbálkozni.
6. Az előzőleg manuálisan bekapcsolt berendezés
felé fordítva a távirányítót, próbálja ki, hogy a
billentyűzet működteti-e azt!
7. Ha működteti, de a kiválasztott márkához más
kódszámok is tartoznak, próbálja ki azokat is.
Végül azt érdemes választani, amely a legtöbb
funkciót tudja megfelelően (a gombok feletti fel-
iratokkal egyezően) vezérelni. Az is elképzelhető,
hogy más márkák kódjai is alkalmazhatók.
Ennek kiderítésére a gyorskeresést célszerű
alkalmazni.

Kód beállítása gyorskereséssel

Amennyiben a működtetni kívánt berendezés
márkája nem található a részletes listában, vagy
megtalálható ugyan, de az ott megadott kód nem
működteti megfelelően*; az még nem jelenti azt,
hogy nem használható a távirányító. Ekkor érdemes
a gyorskereséssel megvizsgálni, hogy milyen egyéb
kód képes vezérelni a berendezést. Egyesével lehet
léptetni valamennyi betáplált kódot.
1. Kapcsolja be kézzel a televíziót, vagy más beren-
dezést. Videomagnó esetén helyezzen be egy
kazettát is.
2. Nyomja meg és tartsa lenyomva a SET gombot,
majd azt a billentyűt, amely berendezést vezérel-
ni kívánja: TV: televízió / VCR: videomagnó /

4. Nyomja meg ismételten a SET billentyűt, majd
engedje el. A LED villogása mutatja, hogy
immár gyorskeresés üzemmódba váltott a táv-
irányító.
5. A berendezés felé fordítva a távirányítót, nyomja
meg a POWER gombot (videomagnó esetében
a lejátszás gombot). Figyelje a reakciót: kikap-
csol-e a televízió, vagy megkezdődik-e a kazetta
lejátszása.** Ha reagál a készülék, próbálja ki
a többi gomb működését is. Ha nincs reakció,
ismételten addig kell nyomogatni a POWER
gombot, amíg ki nem kapcsol. Minden gombnyo-
más egy újabb márka, egy következő kód szerinti
utasítást küld a berendezésnek.
*megjegyzés: A termék sokoldalúsága és a világpiacon
folyamatosan bővülő híradástechnikai termékválaszték
miatt lehetetlen pontosan, naprakészen meghatározni
azon gyártók, márkák és típusok aktuális listáját, ame-
lyekhez használható. Mivel a gyártók gyakran egymástól
átvett technikai megoldásokat alkalmaznak a készülékek-
ben, és egy adott gyártó több elérőt a saját termék-
családjaiban, átfedések tapasztalhatók a működtető kó-
dokban. Elképzelhető, hogy több olyan kód is kiválasztható
(akár más gyártók márkanevei alatt), amely működteti a
kívánt készüléket, de egyik kevesebb, a másik több szolgál-
tatást tud vezérelni, vagy némelyiknél felcserélődhetnek
a gombok funkciói. Ezért célszerű minden olyan kódot
kipróbálni, amelyre reagál a berendezés, és végül
kiválasztani a legjobban használhatót.

**megjegyzés: néhány készülék lassabban reagál az

utasításokra, ezért elegendő időt kell hagyni a POWER
gomb ismételt nyomogatásai között. Kódkeresés
közben minden gomb megfelelően működik, ezért azok
kipróbálhatók még a továbblépés előtt. A SET gomb
megváltoztatja a keresés irányát. A gyorskeresésből
bármely készülék-gomb (pl. TV) megnyomásával ki lehet
lépni, de ez történik akkor is, ha 30 másodpercig nem
adunk újabb utasítást.

Automatikus gyorskeresés
Beavatkozás nélkül, automatikusan végiglépteti az
összes kódot. A távirányítót akár le is lehet tenni az
asztalra, várva berendezésünk reagálását.
1. Kapcsolja be kézzel a működtetni kívánt beren-
dezést.
2. Nyomja meg a megfelelő készülék-gombot. (pl.
TV)
3. Nyomja meg és tartsa lenyomva a SET, majd
ezzel egyidejűleg a POWER billentyűt. 3 másod-
perc elteltével világítani kezd a LED.
4. Irányítsa a távirányítót a berendezés felé, majd
engedje el a gombokat. Az önműködő léptetés
megkezdődik.
5. A berendezés reagálása esetén bármely gomb
megnyomásával meg lehet szakítani a keresést.
Az összes kód lefutása után kialszik a LED,
kikapcsol a távirányító. Ez néhány percet vesz
igénybe.

Beállított kód leolvasása

A későbbi ismételt beállítás megkönnyítéséhez
érdemes felírni a gyorskereséssel megtalált helyes
kódszámot. A háromjegyű szám első, második
és harmadik számjegye a LED felvillanásainak

 számával egyezik meg.
Nyomja meg és tartsa lenyomva a SET, majd ez-
zel egyidejűleg azt a számbillentyűt (1-2-3) amelyik
számjegy értékére kíváncsi. Ezután engedje el mind-
két gombot. Számolja a felvillanásokat!
Például ha a beállított kód 261:
1. SET + „1”: 2 felvillanás
2. SET + „2”: 6 felvillanás
3. SET + „3”: 1 felvillanás
megjegyzés: ha nincs felvillanás, akkor a számjegy: 0

Elemcsere
A LED visszajelző elhalványodása, vagy a hatótávol-
ság csökkenése esetén szükségessé válik az elemek
kicserélése. Az elemtartó fedelét a rajta látható
nyíllal jelölt irányba elcsúsztatva lehet eltávolítani.
Ezután helyezze be a megadott polaritásnak
megfelelően a kettő darab AAA típusú, 1,5 Voltos
elemet. Lehetőleg tartós (alkáli) típust ajánlott
alkalmazni. Akkumulátor használata nem javasolt!
Ne keverje a különböző gyártmányú elemeket!
Az elemcsere ideje alatt a memória őrzi a korábban
kiválasztott kódokat. Ilyenkor bármely gomb benyo-
mása az adatok elvesztését okozhatja!

Figyelmeztetések
Óvja a távirányítót közvetlen hőhatástól, napsü-
téstől, portól, párától és ütéstől!
A port távolítsa el rendszeresen puha rongy segít-
ségével!
Ügyeljen arra, hogy kifröccsenő folyadék soha ne
kerüljön a billentyűzetre!
