video to our list of “loves” which, with numerous laugh-out-loud moments thanks to presenter Mr.
Baker, sums up life at Buckswood during term-time. We have the 101 things to do at Buckswood
program that students join, we have house competitions, you name it there is something for everyone
to work as a team and to work individually. It develops independence, strength and the ability within
the individual to function as part of a team. We therefore recommend that individual travel insurance
policies are taken out by parents or the agency with who the student is booking. We want to see
tangible outcomes such as representing the school in a team, be it hockey, football or horse riding.
Our scope of work covers full outside utility systems and all internal engineering systems for the
School. It is assumed that a student will, subject to conduct and ability, progress through the
Summer School Programme. During this semi-supervised time, a meeting point that is constantly
occupied by a member of staff will be established while other members of staff patrol the set area.
Semi-supervised time is when these students are given a set amount of free time to explore a set area,
for example, a museum or a shopping area. The high spirits amongst students should last for this
Saturday for International Day at Buckwood. Any belongings which students remain in possession
of are their own responsibility and although we will try our best to source any lost property, we
cannot be held liable for these items. Any property that is found once the owner has left the school
will incur a postage and packaging charge should the owner wish for it to be returned and we
therefore advise that all property is labelled with the student’s name. Students will not be permitted
to start the course unless full payment has been received. Any withdrawal must be made in writing to
the Summer School Administrator. If this supplementary charge has not been paid, then we cannot
guarantee that specific requests will be met. It is a unique sound and until we saw this video, we
didn’t realise how much we miss it and how much we love it. Our remote location, bang in the
middle of the stunning Sussex countryside allows our students to feel at ease, to feel relaxed and
most importantly to focus on the tasks at hand, be it a lesson or an activity.
