Task 3. Read the story below.
I can still clearly remember the first time we met. It was one of the happiest
days of my life. It was five years ago, during free play in our kindergarten class.
I was in one corner, trying to figure out one of the puzzle toys. Solving puzzles is
one of my favorite things to do. I had been at it for quite some time, yet I couldn’t
figure it out. My face must have shown frustration because she came and sat
down beside me. Without saying a word, she showed me how to solve the
puzzle. It seemed like it was the easiest thing to do for her. She then picked up
another puzzle on the shelf. Together, we put the puzzle pieces back on the
board. From that day on, Lila and I have been the best of friends.

Read the fable “The Fox and the Grapes.”
One hot summer day, through the woods, a fox was walking. “I am so
tired, hungry and thirsty. I can’t take another step. Is there anything to
eat?”

The fox found a bunch of grapes from a vine.”Bounce! Bounce!” One
more time.”Bounce! Bounce!” The fox jumped with all her might but
couldn’t reach the grapes.”Why are they hanging so high? There might
be some grapes a little lower over there. Oh, ouch. That hurts. Why I
am wearing myself out? Those grapes are not worth it! I’m sure they
are sour. I’d rather be hungry than eating a bunch of sour grapes!” The
fox walked away and never looked back.
