    I. OBJECTIVES
    At the end of the lesson, 90% of the students should be able to:
    a. identify Sea breeze and Land breeze;
    b. differentiate Sea breeze and Land breeze;
    c. explain the movement of air during Sea breeze and Land breeze.

    I have prepared a short activity.


    In this activity, I want you to find and guess the
    missing letters to complete the word.
    Understood?
    Yes Ma’am.
    Let’s start!

    D. PRESENTATION OF THE LESSON

    What are the words that you have found?

    You’re right. Land and Sea breeze Ma’am.

    E. DISCUSSION

    I have here a video presentation about the Sea and


    Land breeze. I want you to watch and listen
    carefully. Please take note those important details.
    Is that clear? Yes Ma’am.

    Based on the video, at daytime which warms up


    faster? Land.

    Right.
    Land absorbs more of the Sun’s energy that’s why
    the land warms up or even hot.

    How about the water? Water reflects the light coming from the sun Ma’am.

    Bravo!
    The water reflects the sun’s energy into different
    direction.

    Why does land absorbs more heat than the water?

    Remember class, since the land has darker color it


    absorbed heat while the water is in lighter color
    that’s why it reflects the sun’s heat.
    Is that clear?
    Yes Ma’am.

    As the land is exposed to the sun, the warmer it can


    get while the water will reflect more of the sun’s
    heat. Is that clear?
    Yes Ma’am.
    How about at night time, which of them cools down
    faster? Land.

    Correct.
    During night time, the land loses heat faster than the
    Bodies of Water.

    What is Sea breeze?


    Sea breeze occurs at daytime, the sun heats up the land
    faster while the water cools down.

    Awesome.
    Sea breeze is created when the surface of land is
    heated sufficiently to start air rising.
    The air above the land will become warm ahead of
    the air above the sea.
    What do you think will happen with warm air?
    Warm air rises.
    Excellent!

    So the warm air above the land will rise and the air
    above the sea will then move in to replace the rising
    warm air.
    Now, you will feel this moving air as light wind or
    what we so called a Sea Breeze.
