1. Emma - The main character
2. Sarah - Emma's best friend
3. Michael - Emma's love interest
4. Mr. Johnson - Emma's strict boss
5. Alex - Emma's supportive sibling

Scene 1: Emma's Apartment

(Emma is getting ready for work. Sarah enters.)

Sarah: Hey, Emma! How are you feeling today?

Emma: (smiling) I'm good, just a little nervous about work. You know how Mr.
Johnson can be.

Sarah: I know how Mr. Johnson can be but I also know how hard you work, you got
this girl!

Emma: Thanks babe, will see you later. I have to leave now.

Scene 2: The Office


(Emma is working at her desk. Mr. Johnson approaches.)

Mr. Johnson: Emma, I need those reports by the end of the day. No excuses!

Emma: (nervously) Yes, sir. I'll get them done.

Scene 3: Coffee Shop

(Emma and Michael meet for coffee.)


Micheal: I'm so glad you were able to make it today Emma.

Emma: Yeah, I apologize for the times that I had to reschedule ( Emma smiles
sheepishly)

Micheal: It's no big deal, I understand that you were busy. How was work today?
Emma: Work was great, thanks for asking.
Waiter: Would you like to order now sir and ma'am?

Micheal: Are you ready to order?

Emma: Yes, I'll have the Iced latte and a chocolate glazed donut.

Micheal: I'll have the same order as the lady but give me a croissant instead of the
donut.

Waiter: Your order would be here shortly.(Leaves)

Michael: Emma…while we are waiting for our order I have something to confess…
I've been meaning to tell you this for a long time... I really like you.

Emma: (blushing) I like you too, Michael. but I want us to take things slow and start
with courting, then we can move on to dating each other.
Micheal: That's nice, I'm soo happy you reciprocate my feeling.
(The waiter comes with their order)
Micheal: Let us enjoy our coffees while thay are still hot
( They start eating and continue catching up on each other's lives)

Scene 4: Emma's Apartment

(Emma is talking to Alex about her day.)

Alex: Don't worry, Sis. You're doing great. Just be yourself and everything will work
out.

Emma: Thanks, Alex. I needed to hear that. I think I forgot to tell you but Micheal
told me that he likes me

Alex: (squeals happily) I'm so happy for you sis, I know how long you've been pining
after this guy, so what was your response?

Emma: I told him that I like him too. Now we're trying out courting, I want him to
court me before we decide to become exclusive.

Alex: I'm happy for you sis, I hope he passes this courting period and become my
brother-in-law.

Emma: I hope so too babe. Extend my greetings to your roommates and take care of
yourself.

Alex: I will.

Scene 5: The Office

(Emma finishes her reports and hands them to Mr. Johnson.)


Mr. Johnson: (surprised) Emma, these reports are excellent! Well done.

Emma: (smiling) Thank you, sir. I worked hard on them.

Mt. Johnson: I know that I have been very strict with you but I am proud to say that
you have become one of the best workers I have in my firm. You are disciplined and
dedicated. Keep it up and you will go to places.

Emma: Thank you sir. I will do my best not to disappoint you sir.
