TP2: Determination of The Latent Heat Students Name:: Objectif

This document describes an experiment to determine the latent heat of fusion of ice using a calorimetric method. The experiment involves mixing ice and water in a calorimeter and measuring the temperature over time to observe the phase change. Materials needed for the experiment are listed.

TP2: Determination of the latent heat

Students Name: Mohamed Fouad Aouad

Mouna Mohamed

OBJECTIF: In this experience we want to determine the latent heat of fusion (Lf) by using the
method of mixeture (between water and ice ) or calorimetric methods.

Materiels needed:
● A calorimeter and accessories
● A Balance
● A beaker and a burette
● A thermometer and his probe
● A stopwatch
● A few cubes of ice in the container

Some definitions of materiels:

● A calorimeter: a device through which we can make the heat measeurement necessary for
calorimetry.it is used to measure th thermal changes of a body.
● Thermometer: a device which we can measure temperature.
● A Beaker: a lipped cylindrical glass container for laboratory use.
After the experience finished we will start theorital part.

Theoritical Part:
● After the mixeture method we have:

t(s) 0 30 60 90 120 150 180 210 240 270 300
