The New York City Language Centre

Hi, I’m Sandrine Bisset. I’m a teacher at The New York City Language Centre. I’m from
Marseille in the south of France and I’m twenty-nine years old. My mother is Swiss and my
father is French. He’s a teacher in a school in Paris. My friend is Antoine. He’s from France,
too, and he’s a student at Columbia University here in New York.

Students come to The New York City Language Centre to learn di erent languages. I’m the
French teacher and my class has students from America, Africa, Asia and Europe. It’s very
interesting to meet di erent people and the classes are always fun. The students always
speak French together because it’s the best way to learn the language.

My friends Giovanni and Lina are also teachers at The Language Centre. Giovanni is the
Italian teacher. He’s from Rome. Lina is the German and Spanish teacher. She comes from
Munich in Germany. Her mother is Spanish.

Example: Sandrine’s mother is in Switzerland.
