TROOP LEADERS

Opening Song
"GOD HAS CREATED A NEW DAY"

God has created a new day, silver and green and gold, Live that the sunset may guide us, worthy his gifts to hold.

TROOP LEADERS

"PRAYER FOR EARTH"

By Pope Francis from Laudato Si

All-powerful God, you are present in the whole universe and in the smallest of your creatures.
You embrace with your tenderness all that exists. Pour out upon us the power of your love, That we may
protect life and beauty.
Fill us with peace that we may live as brothers and sisters, harming no one.
O God of the poor helps us to rescue the abandoned and forgotten of this earth, so precious in your eyes.

PATROL TULIP

Prayer
Thank You, God
--Margaret Kennedy

The sun so bright up in the sky,

The moon I see way, way up high!
The soft green grass, the plants, the trees are special gifts God made for me.
All the people that I love are blessed by God up above.
My neighbours, friends and family are special gifts God gave to me.
What gift can I give you my God in heaven up above?
The thing you want the most from me is pure and simple... Love!

Song
"PARAISO"
By: Smokey Mountain

Return to a land called paraiso,

A place where a dying river ends.
No birds there fly over paraiso,
No space allows them to endure. The smoke that screens the air, The grass that's never there.

And if I could see a single bird, what a joy.

I try to write some words and create A simple song to be heard By the rest of the world.

I live in this land called paraiso,

In a house made of cardboard floors and walls. I learned to be free in paraiso,
Free to claim anything I see.
Matching rags for my clothes, Plastic bags for the cold.

And if empty cans were all I have, what a Joy.

I never fight to take someone Else's coins and live with fear Like the rest of the boys.

Paraiso, help me make a stand.

Paraiso, take me by the hand
Paraiso, make the world understand

That if I could see a single bird, what a joy.

This tired and hungry land could expect Some truth and hope and respect

From the rest of the world.

PATROL DAISY

Be praised, my Lord, for Brother Fire, through whom you give us light in the darkness: He is bright and lively and
strong.

Be praised, my Lord, for Sister Earth, our Mother, who nourishes us and sustains us. bringing forth fruits and
vegetables of many kinds and flowers of many colors.

Be praised, my Lord, for those who forgive for love of you; and for those who bear sickness and
weakness in peace and patience - you win grant them a crown.
Be praised, my Lord, for our Sister Death, whom we must all face. I praise and bless you, Lord, and I give thanks to
you, and I will serve you in all humility.

Poem
"MOON AND STARS"
By: Nika Dutta

On an Optic night the windiest cold Heavenest earth

The One on Corel
Oh! Luminous radiance Within my Mystic Revere Oh! Godly purity!
Yearns of warmth
On the windiest cold
Fills my warmest slow

Oh! Gracious mine don't go

For if pure is Pure
Oh I've realized so!
The stars and moon
Utter Joy for their purest Pure
I know then never been, never wore Oh! For it was Dawn
And you; enlightened more!

PATROL SAMPAGUITA

Song

YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND

When you're down and troubled

And you need a helping hand
And nothing, oh, nothing is going right,
Just close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten even your darkest night

You just call out my name

And, you know, wherever I am
I'll come running
To see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you've got to do is call
And I'll be there, yeah yes I'll be there
You've got a friend

If the sky high above you

Should grow dark and full of clouds
And that old cold north wind should begin to blow
Just keep your poor head together now
And call my name out loud
Pretty Soon I'll be knocking on your door

You just call out my name

And, you know, wherever I am
I'll come running
To see you again

Moment of Silence
Reflections/Thoughts to Ponder
