Title

"Exploring the Implementation and Effectiveness of Inventory Management Techniques

at Samsung India Ltd.: A Study

Problem Statement
Despite the rapid evolution of inventory management methodologies, effective stock
management still represents a significant challenge for many multinational corporations.
Samsung India Ltd., one of the industry's key players, is not immune to these
challenges. The root of the problem can often be traced back to the insufficient
understanding and suboptimal application of modern inventory management
techniques, causing potential inefficiencies, inflated operational costs, and loss of
revenue.
In light of this issue, this research intends to delve deeper into the inventory
management strategies currently employed at Samsung India Ltd. The central aim of
the study is to undertake an in-depth exploration and assessment of how these
techniques are implemented, their effectiveness, and their alignment with the
corporation's operational objectives and market dynamics.
This research will address a few key questions. How effectively is the company
leveraging modern inventory management techniques to streamline operations, reduce
costs, and improve customer satisfaction? What are the specific challenges that
Samsung India Ltd. faces in its inventory management, and how do these impact the
overall operational efficiency? Can identified inefficiencies be attributed to the non-
optimization of inventory management techniques or some other operational facets?
Furthermore, this study intends to bridge the gap between theory and practice by
providing actionable insights and recommendations based on the findings. It will
propose ways to enhance Samsung's current inventory management system, aiming to
minimize inefficiencies and maximize operational effectiveness.
This research is expected to contribute significantly to the existing body of knowledge
on inventory management within multinational corporations. Moreover, the results could
potentially provide a valuable reference for other companies facing similar challenges,
thus contributing to the broader discourse on effective inventory management strategies
in the fast-paced and evolving global business environment.

appropriate software. This might include descriptive statistics to
summarise the data, regression analysis to identify relationships between
variables, and other appropriate statistical tests to analyze the data.
5. Reliability and Validity:

participants to share sensitive company information. Any potential biases will be
acknowledged and considered during data analysis and interpretation.
8. Timeline:
The entire research project will be planned meticulously, with specific timelines
for each phase, including data collection, data analysis, and report writing, to
ensure completion within the stipulated time.
9. Expected Outcome:
The research is expected to provide a detailed understanding of the
effectiveness of inventory management techniques at Samsung India Ltd.,
identify areas for improvement, and offer practical suggestions to enhance these
