Example analysis of lumen:
1 tubular fluorescent lamp (36watt) = 2160 lm (refer Fig. 4(i))
1 tubular fluorescent lamp of 100m2 = 21.6 lx (refer Fig. 4(ii))
This value is related to formula; E=F/A
E = 2160/100
E = 21.6 lx

Using Lumens Method Calculation:


N= ExA / FxUFxMF
= 300x100 /2160 x0.6x0.8
= 30000 / 1036.8
= 28.9

Based on the above calculation, make a comparison with the actual lamp installed in your
case study area and suggest an appropriate recommendation.
