Whenever you write a DAPA,
please remember to choose a
short, relevant learning
moment and describe it with
as much detailed and factual
information as possible.

Description sample: Good stuff
● In our first remote teaching session, the teacher presented the target vocabulary and
grammar point within the Presentation stage since it was a lesson to develop
productive skills. It took the teacher about 10 mins. The activity involved presenting
students with a short conversation about “food”. The students were then asked to repeat
the words related to the main topic making a happy face or a sad face depending on
their food preferences. So the teacher also introduced the grammar point: I like…/ I don´t
like… with very attractive visual aids. Students did not show any difficulty
understanding the topic and most of them seemed to be involved during this activity
repeating and answering some of the teacher's CCQ`s. Through this activity, students were
able to reinforce their understanding of basic vocabulary and improve their word-image
association skills using a specific grammatical structure to express their food
preferences. The teacher expressed a lot of enthusiasm and she was always encouraging
students to repeat after her, correcting pronunciation when needed.

What explanations can I offer?
Why do I think this is important?
How might this have helped or hindered student learning?
Based on what we observed, we believe that _____can help/

Analisis sample:

● According to the Language Acquisition theory which is the process of learning a

new language naturally, similar to how children learn their first language. The teacher did a
great job presenting the target vocabulary and the grammar point in context through a
short conversation. The conversation happened within a relaxed everyday scenario, so that
helped students to understand both the vocabulary and grammar in a well known
scenario. It was also easy to understand in terms of meaning and function without the
need of a long grammatical explanation (a traditional one).
● Based on Language Proficiency which means the level of competence a learner has
in a second language, ranging from beginner to advanced levels, during this activity
students were able to pronounce most of the words correctly and some of them even did
quick attempts to talk about their own food preferences.
● Finally, in terms of Comprehensible Input which is the Language input that
learners can understand, even if it contains some unfamiliar elements. We believe that the
use of visual and auditory material helped students understand the topic easily. Besides
that the teacher`s voice tone and pausing the video from time to time to ask CCQ`s also
ease the students comprehension

Plan of action
What will I do in the future?
A plan of action is a structured guide that outlines
specific steps and goals to achieve a particular
objective or solve a problem. It helps individuals or
organizations know what to do, how to do it, and
when, ensuring efficient progress toward the desired
outcome

● So, in our future lessons, we will chose a vocabulary-building exercise by diversifying

our teaching methods to aim to various learning styles. To enhance engagement, we will
incorporate interactive activities that involve not only visual and logical elements but
also kinesthetic aspects, allowing students to physically interact with the learning
materials.
● Additionally, we'll explore incorporating technology, such as interactive apps or
multimedia resources, to further engage visual and auditory learners. By adding all this
different techniques, we aim to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment,
ensuring that all students can actively participate, comprehend, and retain the topic
effectively.
