Science and Higher Education for Women in 1957 and nurtured to its current height.

PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION
UG
y ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Students should have passed 12th Class / equivalent from a recognised board. Candidates who have appeared 12th Class / equivalent and are
awaiting results are also eligible to apply. Final pass results should be produced at the time of joining the programme, if selected.
y AGE LIMIT
Candidate should have completed 17 years of age and should be less than 23 years of age at the time of appearing for admission as on
May, 2023.
y RESERVATION
Reservation of seats is as per Government of India requirements. The super numerary quota is available for the following categories

Scheduled Tribes 7.5%
Outstanding Sports Person 3%

y Common University Entrance Test (CUET) - 2023

Eligibility Criteria for CUET Registration
As per the Public Notice issued by the UGC D.O. No. 2-17/2022 (CPP-II) on 27.03.2022, Universities were advised to conduct of Common
University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission in Undergraduate programs from the academic session 2023-24 in all UGC funded Central
Universities in l3 Indian languages by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Our University has registered for CUET 2023 and our University is listed in the CUET Samarth website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/index.php/
app/info/universities.
The modality of participation in CUET 2023 will taken into consideration for the admission needs of rural, hilly, tribal and SEDGs students.
For admissions to the UG courses offered by the University for the academic year 2023-24 will be through CUET(UG) -2023 conducted by
NTA and that candidates are required to apply online at https://cuet.samarth.ac.in.
All students should have registered and participated in the CUET 2023.

y ADMISSION PROCEDURE / PROCESS
Application for admission to the UG programmes will be available directly / through online in the University / University Website on
payment of ` 100/- (Online) payable to The Registrar, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women,
Coimbatore - 641 043 at Coimbatore. SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu can get the application form at a half price on production
of an attested copy of Community Certificate.
Applications should be submitted either directly or through online only. Please submit application as per instructions given in the University
website.
Application may be submitted online even before the publications of +2 results. However admission will be done only after receiving the
Higher Secondary (+2) marks
All applicants are required to register for CUET and enter the same in the completed application form.
Admission is based on merit of marks & reservation policy of Govt. of India.

y COMPLETION OF ADMISSION FORMALITIES
The selected candidates must complete their admission formalities on submission of the documents mentioned below on or before the date
notified by the concerned department
Three self attested copies of 10th and 12th / equivalent mark sheets along with the original certificate
Transfer certificate (original plus two attested copies)
Conduct certificate from the Head of the Institution in which the candidate last studied (original plus three attested copies)
Community Certificate from the relevant Government departments of the respective States in case of SC/ST/OBC, EWS (For OBC/EWS the
certificate should be as per the Govt. of India norms and issued after 1st April 2023). Original to be brought for verification
Medical Fitness Certificate from the Government Civil Surgeon
Two passport size photographs with the name of the candidate and name of the UG programme written on the reverse side
The selected candidates will have to fill a Bio data form, Anti Ragging Affidavit and Self Declaration form
Date of commencement of classes will be notified in the university website (www.avinuty.ac.in)
If the original certificates are found to be fake at any point of time, the authorities reserve the right to cancel the admission and take criminal

y POST ADMISSION GUIDELINES

A student shall not ordinarily be allowed to change the programme in which she is admitted, unless the same is applied for and permitted
within two weeks from the date of admission. Such applications should be submitted to the Dean of the School, through the Head of the

The University has adopted Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) to allow students to select from the prescribed courses. Further details can
be obtained from the concerned department
Students of all Undergraduate programmes will be offered compulsory Ability enhancement courses / optional Value added courses,
Co-curricular courses and Extra-curricular courses.
y SCHOLARSHIP
The eligible SC/ST/OBC, PwD students should submit their scholarship form for the academic year by August for processing scholarship to

The Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) adopted by the University offers a wide array of choices to choose from the Curricular, Interdisciplinary, Multidisciplinary
and Professional Certification Courses. Community and Social Service (CSS) is a mandatory component for all PG programmes. The PG programmes are

Rules and Regulations
All students shall abide by the rules and regulations laid down for their discipline and development.
All students are expected to be in the Institution premises during the working hours from 9.45 a.m to 3.30 p.m
Students are required to be neatly dressed in sarees or salwars and white khadi uniform sarees for special occasions
Students are required to wear their ID cards at all times within the campus
Students should attend the common assembly and also participate in all the activities and events of the Institute. Absenting on such
