Assignment

Task: Design and Test network using Packet Tracer


The task is to create a simulation of the enterprise computer network using Cisco
Packet
Tracer https://www.netacad.com/courses/packet-tracer.
The network, will have at least the following equipment’s:
 Work stations,
 Switches,
 Routers,
 Servers,
 Wireless Access points
 Mobile devices,
 Laptops,
 Routers,
 Firewall,
An example of network topology is shown in the following image. The simulation
must at least has the following equipment’s:
 20 work stations,
 7 Switches,
 6 Routers,
 3 Local Servers,
 Wireless Access points
 5 Employees Mobile devices,
 10 Laptops,
 3 Firewalls,
You Job will be:
1) Design the complete networks, using the Cisco Packet Tracer,
2) Configure all the network component, correctly so any Work Station or
Computers server can ping any other equipment, (All the equipment must be
included in test cases).
3) Create a DMZ zone,
4) Add a webserver, website and DNS server to the network, and configure them
correctly, (the web site and DNS tests must be included in test cases).
5) Add at least three firewall in proper location (choose the best location), and
then configure the firewall (s).
6) Configure the firewall, so it allows input to webserver, and DNS server an
8080 or 80 port only, from outside the network, and protect all other part. And
allow accessing from any work station to outside using only the 8080 or 80
ports.
7) Create an IPsec tunnel between two departments and ensure that the users of
both the parties are able to connect to each other.
The HW Requirements
Your code must comprise the following components:
1) Write a report minimum 12 pages paper in which you do the following:
2) Include a cover page containing the title of the project, the student's name, the
professor's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the
reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
3) Your report must also include all project points, network design and
configuration including the cisco packet tracer file.
4) Explain in details what your technical solution is? and why you select this
solution (explain using block diagrams).
5) Write a project portfolio, for suggested Hardware, software and support after
sale.

Submission Requirements
You must submit the following:
 The source code for your implementation, with: .ptk extension only, .doc, .txt
files will not be accepted
 The file name of the zip file and report and the source code must be:
FirstNameLastNmeHW1, any other file name will be ignored.
 You HW must state your name clearly.
 Do not miss the date line.
Notes:
 The work in the Home Work it is not team work, so please to not copy or
attempt copy the code from other (zero points you will get for both parties in
case of copy).
 Non-working simulation will also result in zero points.
