GADGET ADDICTION
Kim moved to Angono with his parents. Angono was a wonderful place. They roamed the town
and had a lot of fun. That birthday was indeed a special one for Kim. To make it more special, as
promised his uncle handed over a box wrapped in a gift wrapper. Kim opened it to see a mobile
inside it! He was happy to see his present. He immediately started to explore it. He learnt to
operate it too.
They came back home to Binangonan. Kim showed his mobile to all his friends. One of his friends
suggested a game which he could download. Kim was so fascinated to play that game that he
started to play it frequently. His routine slowly changed. He did not go out to play with his friends.
He was always with his mobile phone. This worried his parents. They warned him many times. He
seldom listened to them.
Finally, it started to affect his studies, he could not focus. It also affected his eyesight. He started
to complain of headaches. He was taken to the doctor and ended up wearing eyeglasses. The
doctor also strictly warned him not to use the mobile phone.
Kim realized that he had become lazy and lost his charm. But made up his mind and came out of
mobile addiction!
