San Pedro Technological Institute (SPTI)

Formerly known as "San Pedro


Manpower Training Center" was
established in 1978 through the
help of National Manpower Youth
Council (NMYC) during the term of
Hon. Felicisimo Vierneza.
In 2007, the term of Hon. Calixto R.
Cataquiz, the name was changed
to "San Pedro Manpower
Development Institute" by the
virtue of the resolution passed by
the Sangguniang Bayan because of
the improvement of the facilities,
and acquisition of additional
equipment, and furtherance of its
programs under the able
leadership of the then Chairman
Hon. Lourdes S. Cataquiz
The institution became compliant with the Unified
TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System
(UTPRAS), mandated by TESDA.

A resolution was passed changing the name to


"San Pedro Technological Institute" making it more
competitive and comparable with private
counterparts.
