Second years BS Electrical Engineering, I am here in front of you to give you all my speech
about My Self, I’m the eldest child and I have a two brothers they are twins, my mother suffer
work in abroad to support my study and financial to my family, My father he stay in home
because of her foot don’t have a force to walk because of the air condition at work in abroad.
My defining moment arrived during a conversation I had with my father. One day, while talking
about my future, my father encouraged me to go into accounting. He said that an Accountant’s
work would be physically less demanding, it would usually be in an office environment which
will be more comfortable for a men. According to him, as an electrical Engineer, I may be
required to go out into the ‘field’ frequently for commissioning, inspection and maintenance of
the power stations, transmission towers or substations which would be more suitable for a man.
His opinions made me think and I treated them as challenges as I didn’t want to believe that
engineering would only be suitable for me. I decided to study electrical engineering.
Everyone must make a choice, once they reach a certain age, that will determine everything in
the life. My dream job is to become an electrical engineer one day, because I find interest in
circuits and building electronic devices. When I was a young boy my dream not to be an electric
engineer but something more along the lines of being a pilot; however, that dream was short
lived because my interest of being able to pilot changed over as I got older and became interested
in electronics. The way electronics work is simply amusing to me because I could not understand
how the devices were operating, and honestly I still may not understand how these devices
actually work. That why I choose this course to know more about electronics, I’ve learned a lot
for this years not only in Ge 5 but also in my major’s subject, I always believe that one must do
the best. The relationships you built and the impact you make in your life is what will do your
best. Thank you and God bless you all.
