Carryover
Carryover
TEST DESCRIPTION
The Carryover test is performed to determine the presence of sample carryover from one injection to the
next. The test involves running two pre blank (mobile phase) injections to demonstrate that the system is
free of unexplained or "ghost" peaks. This is followed by three injections of a 0.005 % carryover standard
(0.2 ppm caffeine). These injections are followed by a challenge injection (4000 ppm Caffeine), then by
three post-blank injections.
The caffeine peak in the post-blank injection is quantitated against a 0.005 % carryover standard.
The qualification passes if the % carryover is < or = 0.01%, or the peak is missing for PostBlank1.
