This application form is valid for Fall 2020 admission consideration for the Master in International Management of the
CEMS program (MIM/CEMS) ONLY. Admission to any other graduate program offered at AUC will not be processed
through this application form.
Please print the form to complete all the requirements, and then scan and send by email to [email protected] along
with all the supporting documents you have now. There are two evaluation cycles for Spring 2020 admission. Do not
exceed the deadline of February 1, 2020 for early admission. The second and last deadline to submit your application for
Fall 2020 admission consideration is April 1, 2020. Applications submitted past the deadline will not be evaluated for Fall
2020. Once submitted to [email protected], you will be allowed no more than 10 calendar days after each of these
deadlines to complete any missing credentials. Please refer to the checklist and the instructions at the end of this form to

• The approval of student visas requires four to six weeks. AUC is not responsible if an individual is denied a visa for any
reason by the Egyptian government.
• The nationality declared on all forms and documents provided must be the same as the passport copy attached.
• Entry at Cairo airport, upon arrival, must be with the passport mentioned on your data form.
• Upon arrival in Cairo, please read the student residence visa information accurately to avoid paying any late fees or fines.
All students must start the student residence application process at the Business Support Unit, rooms G019 and G020 in the
Administration Building, as soon as registration for the intended semester is complete.
• International students who do not apply for a student visa and do not have another type
of residency will have their courses dropped.
• To enter Egypt, you will need a valid tourist visa. Prior to leaving their home country, international
students must contact the nearest Egyptian Consulate, in advance, to inquire about the procedures, 9
required time and arrangements to issue a tourist visa to Egypt.
GRADUATE APPLICATION CHECKLIST
Scanned originals (soft copies) of all credentials are accepted only for the purpose of processing graduate admissions applications, but the
original documents may be required prior to the announcement of the final decision. Credentials can be attached to this application form or
submitted after receiving your AUC ID number from the University’s Office of Enrollment,Admissions and Student Service Center (EASSC).

q Official transcripts (Bayan daragat - a record of courses completed per semester and their corresponding grades) from
all higher education institutions that you have attended other than AUC.
These should be sent from your home university directly to you and affixed with a seal. Original transcripts will only be accepted
if they bear an official stamp and are in sealed envelopes. Photocopies or unofficial transcripts will be accepted for evaluation
purposes only. Final official transcripts with proof of degree completion and graduation may be requested by the Office of Graduate
Admissions , and these can be submitted in person at the Student Service Center at AUC New Cairo ( entry through G ate 1 ) or
sent to the address indicated at the end of this application form. Applicants may retrieve their original documents at the beginning
of the semester.
The academic requirements for the MIM/CEMS degree include:
• A bachelor’s degree in business, economics or accounting. For students holding a non-business bachelor’s degree, a minimum of
30 credit hours of business courses are required (60 ECTS).
• High academic records (GPA not less than 3.4 / 4.0, or an equivalent from other systems.
• A maximum of two calendar years between the date of graduation (undergraduate degree) and the start day of the MIM/CEMS
program.
q Letters of recommendation
All applicants are required to submit a minimum of two letters of recommendation. It is the responsibility of the applicant (not that
of AUC) to follow up with the evaluators and ensure the timely submission of the required letters.
q Required test results
q Unofficial, online copies or scanned copies are acceptable only for processing the graduate admission application. The Official
results will be required at a later stage.
q Applicants are required to demonstrate a level of English sufficient to participate and be successful in the AUC graduate studies.
Language proficiency is evaluated through the International TOEFL or academic IELTS exams, or either of the advanced or the
Proficiency exams of the academic Cambridge Assessment English tests.They are offered at numerous locations around the world.
(see the checklist for details). Graduate applicants who hold degrees from an accredited English-language-only university may
be exempted from presenting evidence of academic English proficiency, where at least one consecutive academic year of full-
time studies was recently completed. This exemption is determined by the Office of Graduate Admissions upon evaluation of
the graduate applications and credentials.Official online TOEFL test scores should be sent to the AUC institutional code 0903.
Students applying to the Master in International Management / CEMS need to provide a proof of English proficiency through any of the
following methods:
Academic IELTS cut off scores: A minimum IELTS Band score (total) of 7.0 and a minimum IELTS writing score of 7.0
Or
International (iBT) TOEFL cut off scores: A minimum overall iBT TOEFL score of 100 and a minimum iBT writing score of 27
Or
Cambridge Assessment English cut off scores:
• Cambridge English Proficiency CPE (Grade C*): A minimum overall score of 200 and a minimum writing score of 200
• Cambridge English Advanced CAE (Grade B*): A minimum overall score of 193 and a minimum writing score of 193
(*): No letter grades will be taken into account for the English language results, only numerical scores.
Exemption from the English language examinations is only allowed for applicants who received a degree solely taught in English from an
EQUIS and/or AACSB accredited institution, if in a country where English is the official language.
Additional Notes:
While the validity of any of these English language examinations is two years from the day of the exam, the results will not be considered
for graduate admission if the expiry date is before the first day of registered classes at AUC.
Kindly ensure that original test results or authorization for online access reach AUC to the attention of the Office of Graduate Admissions.
Placement is based on achieving the cut-off of the two scores: total and writing. If one score is lower than the indicated minimum, then

placement is based on the lower score. Not meeting the required minimums for this program will deny admission to it.
The American University in Cairo reserves the right to request English proficiency test results from any applicant as deemed necessary.

INSTRUCTIONS
Please refer to these instructions while filling out the application for graduate admission. Any errors or omissions in your
application may lead to delays in its processing.
2. Enter your country of citizenship. If you possess an Egyptian national ID card (Al Rakam Al Qawmi) or an Egyptian
passport, enter Egyptian. If you are a dual national (have passports from two different countries), you may write both
nationalities and submit proof of the second citizenship or your Green Card number. This information is used for
statistical purposes and determining tuition levels and is not a requirement for admission.
3. If you have been issued a Social Security number (SSN) by the Canadian or U.S. government, your SSN is required
if applying for U.S. financial aid via FAFSA, the Hope Scholarship and for U.S. IRS tax purposes. If you have a Social
Security number, it will not be used as your student ID number by the University.You will be issued an AUC student
ID number. Providing your Social Security number or passport information is not required for admission

Tests are only valid if taken within one month prior to registration at AUC. All admitted students will be required to
submit a soft copy of a recent medical report to the AUC Clinic.

University Residence
For information about University housing, visit www.aucegypt.edu/students/life/residential. Online housing applications
are not accessible to new students before mid-June for fall applicants, and mid-December for spring applicants.
As per AUC’s admission policy, credentials submitted by applicants who are not admitted will be terminated
after two years if not claimed by applicants.
Once your application is submitted, allow for two working days to be sent a confirmation email to you, that will
include your AUC ID number. Always include this ID number in the subject line of all your correspondences with
AUC and on any hard copy credentials submitted at AUC.
When your application reaches the Office of Graduate Admissions, you will be contacted by a team member who
will be responsible for the processing of your application for admission, and to whom you should forward any soft
copies of the credentials required to complete your file.
