O5 Submission due date: No Due Date

PPST Domain 4

 Domain 4. Curriculum and Planning

Program Outcomes of Teacher Education

 demonstrate a variety of thinking skills in planning, monitoring,

assessing, and reporting learning process and outcomes.

Desired learning outcomes

 Identify learning outcomes that are aligned with competencies.

 Prepare developmentally sequenced teaching and learning
process to meet curriculum.

Essential Questions

 What are important considerations in preparing a developmentally

sequenced teaching and learning?
 When do we say that learning outcomes are aligned with learning
competencies to meet curriculum requirements?

Lesson Overview

 Lesson Plan/ Learning Plan is the blueprint of the daily activities in

the teaching- learning process:
o It guides the teacher on the instructional activities he/she will
implement in class. This is an important component in the
instructional process.
o This will help teachers become systematic and organized and on
track/on task while teaching.
o This will aid the teachers to teach MORE and DO MORE and will
help her/his learners attain the outcomes set for the day.
o This will help the teachers plan differentiated activities to cater to
diverse types of learners.
o This gives a sense of direction in relation to the curriculum map
and teaching guides for the subject.
o It also serves as practical and useful basis for future plans.
o It gives the teacher more confidence in carrying out the daily
tasks.
SEVEN PARTS OF THE DAILY LEARNING/LESSON PLAN
(DLP DepEd No. 42. s, 2016)

I. Objectives
a. Content standards
b. Performance standards
c. Learning competencies
II. Content
III. Learning Resources
IV. Procedures:

A. Before the lesson- Opening of the lesson

o Conduct/review of the previous lesson
o Clarify concepts of the previous lessons.
o Introduce the connection of the new and past lesson.
o State the new lesson objectives.
B. The Lesson Proper- Middle or main part of the lesson
o Explain, model, demonstrate and illustrate concepts, ideas, skills and processes for
learners to internalize the lesson.
o Get learners’ interest in the new lesson, to start up and warm up activities.
o Provides the learners opportunity to ask questions about the lesson.
C. After the Lesson- Closing or end of the lesson
o Do wrap-up activities
o Provide summary of the lesson or ask students to summarize the key concepts and activities.
o Reinforce what the teacher has taught and what the learners have completed.

Note: Assessment Methods are integrated in the DLP to regularly check the
understanding of the lesson.

I. Assignment (Optional) – it should be related to the lesson. It should allow learners to

master what was learned. (Refer to DepEd No. 329 s. 2010)

II. Remarks
 This is to document specific instances that result in the continuation of the lesson in
case of:
 Reteaching
 Insufficient time
 Transfer of lesson to the following day as a result of class suspension.
III. Reflection (to be filled out after the lesson by the teaching intern)
 To write parts of the lesson that went or the parts that were weak and write briefly about
it/them.
 To share their thoughts and feelings about the lesson that were successfully

implemented, need improvement or could be adjusted in the future.

 To talk also to the learners who did not do well or those who need help.
THE DAILY LESSON LOG (DLL)

 It is a template teacher use to log parts/outline of their daily lesson.

 Teachers who have been in the service for at least one (1) year, handling learning areas with
available LMS and TGs provided by the DepEd shall not be required to write the DLP instead they
shall be required to fill out a weekly Daily Lesson Log (DLL).
PERFORMANCE TASK 1
Request a sample lesson plan or Daily Learning Plan of your discipline from
your CT or from any teachers in DepEd schools. Study each part carefully and
attach the soft/scanned copy of the sample here.
QUESTIONS:

Refer to DepEd No. 42, s. 2016: Does your sample lesson plan conforms to established
formatting and parts? Why or why not? Specify parts present or lacking to justify your answer.

For lesson plan to follow Deped no. 42, s. 2016, it needs to include certain parts like objectives, subject
matter, activities assessment methods, and references. If these parts are all there and the formatting looks
right, then the lesson plan meets the standards. But without seeing the actual lesson plan, it’s hard to say for
sure.

What is the impact of this to you as a teaching intern? How will ensure developmentally
sequenced Lesson plan to meet the curriculum requirements?

Following Deped guidelines on lesson planning as a teaching intern ensures my lesson plans are well-
organized and meet curriculum standards, improving my teaching effectiveness. To create developmentally
sequenced lesson plans, I’II first review the curriculum, then set clear learning objectives that match
students’ abilities. I’II plan activities in a logical order, using various teaching methods to engage students.
By regularly assessing progress and adjusting instruction as needed, I’ll ensure students achieve their
learning goals. Reflecting on each lesson’s success and making improvements will help me continuously
enhance my teaching during the internship.

What is a Daily Lesson Log (DLL)? Why does other teachers prepare a DLL instead of a DLP?

A daily lesson log is a document teacher use to plan each lesson, detailing what they’ll, how they’ll teach
it, and what materials they’ll use. It helps keep track of what was covered in each class and ensure lessons
are well-organized. Teachers might use a DLL instead of a DLP because it gives a more detailed
breakdown of the lesson content and activities. It’s like a roadmap for teaching, making it easier to guide
students through the learning process and ensure everyone stays on track with the curriculum.

What insights have you gained? How does this sample helped you in preparing your own
learning plan?

From the sample, I learned how important it is to plan lessons in detail and keep good records. It showed
me how to organize a lesson well by setting goals, planning activities, and choosing resources. This
example taught me the importance of making sure my lesson plans match what students need to learn and
how they learn best. As a pre-service teacher, I can use this example to guide me when I make my own
lesson plans.
PERFORMANCE TASK 2
 Write your own Daily Lesson Plan using the given template above with
complete components.
 Attach the Soft copy of your DLP below and provide copy to your CT for
checking.
 Ask your CT to assess your DLP using the Scoring Rubric and Lesson
Plan critiquing sheet.
 Scan the filled-out forms with scores and attach it here together with your DLP
with their comments and suggested revisions.
