Final Major Project Script - Scarlet Media 1.

1 INT BEDROOM 1

FADE IN:

Extreme close up shot up Serena's eye. Overlaying audios of

people shouting, laughing, crying, etc, can be heard. Every
few seconds a short flashback clip appears for a second or
two. Throughout this sequence, these clips keep repeating,
and the distance between the shots and the length of the
shots both become shorter, and the audio gets louder. After
about 60 seconds of this, Serena blinks and the audio cuts
out, and the film title appears in their eye. After about 5
seconds they blink again, removing the title, and they lie
down, revealing "By Scarlet Media" on the wall behind them.

CUT TO:

Birds Eye shot of Serena lying in bed, staring blankly at the

ceiling. They turn their head to the right.

CUT TO:

Side shot of the bed with the bedside table to the left of
the shot. Focusing on Serena to begin with, but shifting the
focus to the phone and earphones on the bedside table as they
go to grab it.

CUT TO:
Birds Eye shot of Serena lying in bed. They put in their
earphones, and music begins to play. This shot continues to
play in the background as multiple (4-6) shots overlay it one
at a time. These shots are all Birds Eye shots in the same
position as the original, and they are of Serena doing things
to pass the time, such as reading, scrolling, watching a
film, playing a game, sleeping, etc. The sound of someone
shouting Serena's name interrupts this and causes the audio
to cut out and the overlapping shots to disappear. They take
out their earphones and look to their right.

CUT TO:

Mid shot of the door.

CUT TO:

Birds Eye shot of Serena lying in bed. They sit up, covering
the camera as they do.

MASKING TRANSITION:

Mid/close up shot of the floor as they climb out of bed.

Their feet slowly reaching the floor and slowly walking off
screen.

CUT TO:

Mid shot of the door.

CUT TO:

Close up low angle shot of their eyes, as they stare

curiously at the door.

CUT TO:

Close up shot of the doorhandles, from an angle, as their

hand reaches towards it, slowly opening it. As the door
opens, it is revealed that behind the door is the beach.

CUT TO:

Close up of their eyes, as they look down to the ground.

CUT TO:

Show looking down at the ground in from of them. In front of

the door is a pair of shoes. They grab these shoes and take
them out of shot.

CUT TO:

Mid shot, slight Dutch angle, of the open door. Serena

cautiously walks through the door.

CUT TO:

2 EXT - BEACH 2

Mid static shot as they walk onto the beach, they look around
confused and walk out of shot.

CUT TO:

Various shots of the beach: the sea, waves, birds, streams,

grass, etc.

CUT TO:

Mid shot of Serena walking and looking around, the camera

follows them sideways, as they look around curiously and
confused.

CUT TO:

Wide shot of them walking across the beach.

CUT TO:

Close up shot of them walking past a wave, as the wave tries

to reach their foot.

CUT TO:

Mid shot of them walking, as the camera follows sideways.

They begin to smile, and they start spinning around. The
camera spins around them the opposite way.

CUT TO:

Static wide shot of them spinning around, positioned in the

middle of the shot. They stop spinning and steady themself.

CUT TO:

Mid shot of them walking as the camera follows them. The

camera moves behind them so they are covering the camera.

IN CAMERA TRANSITION:

3 EXT - BEACH - PIPE 3

Static wide shot on the pipe, Serena walks away from the
camera to the end of the pipe. They stand at the end of the
pipe for a few seconds, looking around.
CUT TO:

Various shots of the beach: the sea, waves, birds, streams,

grass, etc.

CUT TO:

Close up shot of their eyes watching the view, smiling. They

hear happy laughing, and turn their head.

CUT TO:

Mid shot of the rocks. Two figures are sitting on one of the
rocks, one of them is anonymous and the other is Serena. They
are laughing and happily chatting together.

CUT TO:

Wide angle shot of the side of the pipe. You can see the two
figures on the rock to the right of the shot, and Serena
standing at the end of the pipe, turning around.

CUT TO:

Close up of Serena's eyes, debating what to do.

CUT TO:

Close up of their feet as they start slowly walking.

CUT TO:

Mid shot of the figures on the rocks, Serena walking towards

them in the background. Serena is smiling as they walk.

CUT TO:

Mid shot of the figures on the rock, from behind them. Serena
walks into shot, but does not fully cover the camera. Becomes
over the shoulder shot as the two figures fade away.

CUT TO:

Close up of Serena's face, looking confused.

CUT TO:

Close up of their feet stumbling backwards, frightened.

CUT TO:

Close up of their face, looking scared. They look down.

CUT TO:
Birds Eye shot of a body of water. You can see Serena's
reflection. They turn to the side.

CUT TO:

Mid shot of the door that the entered through, as it closes.

CUT TO:

Birds Eye shot off the body of water. Their reflection

becomes more distorted and disturbing, turning into a shadow
figure.

CUT TO:

Mid shot of Serena, stumbling backwards in shock and fear.

They look up in front of them.

CUT TO:

Wide shot of them standing on the end of the pipe looking at

the sky, memories are shown in the sky.

Mid shot of Serena, as they watch with a terrified look on

their face. The camera moves to the side as Serena turns
their head to the right to look behind them. Focus shift to
the black figure standing on the sand in the distance.

CUT TO:

Close up of legs as they step backwards off the pipe and turn
around to quickly walk away.

CUT TO:

4 EXT - BEACH 4

Mid shot of Serena walking, the camera moves backwards to

follow them. The camera begins to move left and reveal the
figure behind them, then the camera stops and Serena walks
out of shot.

CUT TO:

Close up of Serena's feet as they walk quicker and quicker,

camera following them.

CUT TO:

Wide shot of Serena running, flashbacks playing.

CUT TO:

Mid shot of Serena running, their nose beginning to bleed.

CUT TO:

Close up of ground as blood begins to drop, Serena running

past shortly followed by the figure's footsteps walking
slowly behind.

CUT TO:

Wide shot of Serena running, the black figure slowly

following behind, beginning to get closer now.

CUT TO:

Mid shot of Serena stopping and running out of breath. They

stop to catch their breath and wipe the blood from their
nose. The black figure appears behind them and slowly places
its hand on their shoulder.

5 INT - BEDROOM 5

Mid shot of Serena rapidly sitting up in bed, gasping and

hyperventilating.

CUT TO:

Wide shot of the side of the bed, you see Serena sitting up
in bed, slightly transparent, however they are also lying
down in bed.

CUT TO BLACK.
