Statement Of Purpose

I would like to introduce myself as Nirmeet Kaur from Amritsar, Punjab, India. My date of
birth is 21st February, 1994 & my passport number is U9286657. I wish to enroll in Web
Development program from Conestoga College, Canada. The reason to study Web
Development is because I have deep interest and profound passion for this field & also it
offers great career opportunities in modern business for their sales promotion.

Educational Qualification :
Moving onto my academic background I have been a studious, laborious taking keen interest
in all my subjects not to score well but to enhance my knowledge. I am a student with great
enthusiasm towards my areas of learning, possessing good grasping power, communication
skills.

I completed my matriculation from CBSE Board and attained 06.4 CGPA in 2010 & completed
my higher secondary education (Arts) in which Mathematics, Computer Science and
Economics were my main subjects and scored 67.4 % in the year 2012. After that I have done
Bachelor of Computer Applications from Trai Shtabadi Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College,
Amritsar affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University in the year 2015 with 60.8% marks. After
that I’ve worked as Computer Teacher at Global Institute of Computer from Sept 2015 to
August 2019 where i used to teach students basics of computer, typing, MS Office including
Word, Excel and Powerpoint and this I also enhamced my knowledge and teaching skills. After
marriage, I decided to work for my skills efficiency & enhancement of knowledge. So, I started
working with KL Enterprises as Digital Marketer started from 15th July 2020 to till date. During
my work period, I gained experience of different marketing tactics as in today's era everyone
is influenced with social media and marketing through online platforms to reach our target
customer eventually helps to achieve sales targets. I always wanted to reach at pinnacle of
success in my career so I decided to continue my studies and for this i appeared for IELTS
exam on 30th September, 2021 and scored overall 6.5 bands, in Listening : 7.0, Reading : 6.0,
Writing : 6.0, Speaking : 6.0 & after discussing with my family, I finally decided to study at
Canada's reputed instituition.

Family Background :

I've been married to Mr. Jogandip Singh on December 27, 2019. He is working as Assistant
Manager of Sales at Axis Bank and my father in law owns a dairy farm. My family has always
encouraged and supported me to take decisions of my life. My husband and father in law is
supporting me financially as well to study and live abroad for my bright future. I feel truly
blessed to have such a supporting family that stood up for me in every sort of circumstamces.
Why I Choose Canada For Study ?

In Canada, the approach of teaching is practical along with the use of the latest techniques and
updated syllabus which makes the student industry-ready graduate and this increases the
chances of a fresh graduate to be apart of one of the leading organizations of the world. Even
the modes of delivering education are well furnished as the latest technologies are being used
to impart education to the students such as smartclasses equipped with projectors or other
audio-visual aids and so on.Moreover while studying in my home country I cannot get the
benefits that can be gained while studying abroad such as international exposure which would
add extra weight to my resume to get lucrative jobs in future. Secondly, by studying in an
English speaking country I can improve my communication skills. Last but not the least, the
value and recognition of an international degree due to the latest business techniques and
understanding of the advanced economy are always higher than a local degree specially in one
of the most emerging markets like India today. Hence internationally qualified candidates are
always preferred comparatively. Due to all these merits of overseas education, I have decided
to have an international degree rather a domestic one. Canada is the only country that has
implemented some educational acts which reserve the rights of international students.

While I was searching for best colleges in Canada to study I found that Conestoga College
Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning is the fastest growing public college in Ontario. It
was established in 1967 as Conestoga College of Applied Arts and Technology and later in 2002
changed its name to the current one & now it is a leader in polytechnic education serving more

be and decided to work on my skills to improve my own potential to be carve out successful
future in it.
Why I Choose Web Development ?

In today's advanced and fastest growing technology world, web developers plays an important
role. The countless avenues and outcomes are what I found most stimulating about Web
Development. Web Development is about developing worldwide web applications and
websites that are being operated web browsers such as Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox.
There are mainly two types of web development - Front End & Back End. Front end developers
usually design parts of websites and web applications with which user can interact. The skills
require to become front end developer is HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, React.js, Gulp
and many others. Back end developers mainly work with the parts that users can't see but they
are important for them such as data base management, sending information from server,
filtering information into database. The skills require for backend developers are PHP, Python,
Java, .net, MySQL and many others. Customer of today want every information to be
accessible on website and this program will provide comprehensive training to work in the field
of web - centric business application development. The primary focus on the program is on

After completing my education i intend to return to India for building my career. India has

Also I can work as a freelancer Web Developer who can easily earn INR 3-4 Lac annually and it
will increase as my knowledge and skills will increase. I must mention that the industry always
wants a candidate having high standards of skills and performance, international exposure and
the most practical perception overall.
Conclusion :

I am convinced that the program will prepare me for pursuing a successful career in the field of
Web Development. I have also paid GIC 10,000 CAD as my living expenses and I also have
sufficient funds to pay for my second year tuition fees. The further procedures for the
completion of my application and securing admission require obtaining student Visa for
