The aim of the Extended Twin Engine Operations ETOPS course is to familiarize
pilots with preparation and conduct of flight during ‘ETOPS’ operations.

It is composed of:
- Ground training for theoretical knowledge / Pilot Basic Knowledge &
Skill . Self study via the Airbus e-Training platform (pre-requisite) ETOPS e-
Training

- Flight Full Simulator session


This course can be enriched with the FANS e-Training course.

Course Duration

Regulatory Compliance

All Training Centres are EASA approved.


Other training approvals (FAA, CAAC (China), DGCA (India)…) are also valid depending on the training location.

Prerequisites

- English Language ICAO Proficiency Rating of 4, 5 or 6


- Fluency in English (able to write, read and communicate at an adequately understandable level in English language)[1]
- Hold a valid Type Rating on the applicable type or applicant for the appropriate type rating
- Theorical knowledge to be acquired upfront via ETOPS E-Training*
* NOTE: The pre-requisites validated by self-study will have to be demonstrated at least 1 month before the beginning of the
course.
[1] A translator provided by the operator may assist the instructor
