The objectives of the dispatcher transition course are to provide to the airline’s dispatchers all the necessary performance
information that they could need in their daily work to ensure the safety of the airline’s operations.

This course aims at bringing to dispatchers the knowledge of the aircraft systems and limitations, the knowledge of the operational
documentation, and the knowledge of the performance calculation techniques. This course also proposes specific training course
for airlines operating in ETOPS conditions.

This course is not an ab-initio course but a “transition to Airbus” course.

Documentation & Performance:


The objectives of this module are to present the general characteristics of the aircraft, the operational documentation, as well as its
associated consultation, and the performance calculation methods. It mixes stand-up lectures and practical exercises.
According to Airlines type of operations, performance computation will be based on flight operations manuals (Take-off charts,
Landing charts and FCOM tables) or EFB applications (FlySmart with Airbus Take-off, Landing and In-Flight).

Duration:
- Documentation & EFB Performance applications: 3 Days A318, A319, A320, A321, A330/A340 A350, A380

- Documentation & Performance tables: 4 Days A300-600, A310 A318, A319, A320, A321 A330, A340

ETOPS
This module gives an overview of the additional knowledge required to operate an aircraft in extended range conditions.

After an introduction on the ETOPS concept, the course describes the various aspects of ETOPS such as: Aircraft type
certification, operational approval, initial route study, weather minimal and airport suitability, dispatcher workload, flight planning
and execution, computerised system recommendations.

Duration: 2 Days
Applicable: All aircraft

Prerequisites

- e-Learning module Aircraft systems is highly recommended before conducting Documentation & Performance course
- Qualified and licensed Flight Operation Officers or Flight Dispatchers
- English Language ICAO Proficiency Rating of 4, 5 or 6
- Fluency in English (able to write, read and communicate at an adequately understandable level in English language
