1 Install the 56F8014 Socket Board and the 56F8014 Demonstration Board

1. Remove all power connections from the demo board and the socket daughter card.
2. Connect the 56F8014 Socket Board to the 56F8014 Demonstration Board via the 40-pin expansion connector.
• Align pin 1 from the 56F8014 Socket Board expansion connector with pin 1 of the 56F8014 Demonstration Board expansion
connector as shown.

2 Connect the 56F8014 Socket Board and the
56F8014 Demonstration Board to Your Computer

1. Plug the power supply into the power jack on the 56F8014 Demonstration Board.
2. Plug the +9V DC power supply into an AC outlet.
3. Connect the JTAG adapter between your computer and the 56F8014 Socket Board.
4. Install CodeWarrior tools (follow the instructions included in the DEMO56F8014 kit).

3 Flash Programming

1. Place the 56F8014 device into the appropriate socket.


2. Use CodeWarrior tools to download your application into the 56F8014 Flash memory.
