Enhancements

Fixes
The RMAN Plug-in version 3.5.0 is integrated with higher version of Catalyst client library.
Prerequisites
IMPORTANT:
Run the Installation as the Oracle software owner.
Windows: Typically the software owner is “Administrator.”
Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, or AIX: Typically the software owner is “oracle.” Do not install as
“root.”
Before installing, you must define the ORACLE_BASE environment variable in your
installation environment and point it to the base directory of the Oracle software. If you do
not, the upgrade will abort.
Linux, HP-UX, AIX, and Solaris: Before installing, check the Resident Set Size default value
settings. If the value is less than 512 MB, increase the setting to 512 MB before running
Oracle RMAN backups. If this value is not changed, the backups will fail.

AIX: On AIX media servers where IPv6 is not configured, you must configure the
/etc/netsvc.conf
file with
hosts=local4,bind4
. If not configured this way, Oracle RMAN backup and recovery operations will fail due to
latencies in resolving storage server addresses on AIX.
AIX: If you want both IPV6 and IPV4 addresses to resolve, configure the
/etc/netsvc.conf
file with
hosts=local,bind
.
