ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Proficient in creating the file systems with the help of Logical Volume
Management (LVM).
 Increasing and decrease file systems on logical volume manager.
 User administration- Adding new users to the groups, deleting existing users,
Locking &Unlocking a user provide appropriate access for users. Security
Implementation through ACL and Sticky bit.
 Changing files and directories permissions and ownerships as per request.
 Experienced in booting process and troubleshooting Linux servers,
resolving boot level issues and maintenance of server issues using
rescue mode and maintenance mode.
 Maintaining patches and packages to keep the servers up to date with latest
releases. Perform schedule reboots
 Creating hard link and soft link for File Directories as per request.
 Providing sudoers permissions as per the request.
 Experience in configuring SSH password less authentication.
 Configuring NFS, AUTOFS, NIS and FTP on Linux server environment.
 Configure and administering NIS and YUM Clients on Linux server environment.
 Cleaning log files and compresses old logs on OS file systems.
 Experience in automation and scheduling jobs using CRON jobs.
 Monitoring and Managing SWAP, CPU & Memory Utilization, Disk Utilization.
 Packages management using YUM & RPM.
 Backup and Recovery using Tools like Tar and Gzip.

 Creating volumes and managing file system using Logical Volume Manager
(LVM). Adding storage luns to existing volume group. Increasing and
modifying file systems on logical volume manager.
 Creating hard link and soft link for File Directories as per request.
 Establishing trusted authentication by generating public key and private key
between nodes.
 Configuring and administering NFS and AUTOFS on red hat Linux
server environment.
 Configure and administering NIS and YUM Clients on Linux server
environment. Resolving NFS related issue
 Experienced in trouble shooting and resolving Network related issues to the
Linux servers. Perform schedule reboots.
 Cleaning log files and compresses old logs on OS file systems.
 Troubleshooting on servers to find root cause analysis (RCA).
 Installing/updating of software packages using YUM and RPM.
 Applying software/application/OS patches on servers.
 Super Block recovery, Root password recovery.
 Fixing mount issues, checking file system integrity, running fsck.

ANSIBLE:

 Good exposure on Installation and Configuration of Ansible.


 Good knowledge in dealing with inventory file.
 Extensively used Ansible ad-hoc commands.
 Experienced in using multiple ansible modules.
 Good Experience in running ansible play-books.

 Launching AWS instances with different AMI’s, creating AMI’s from existing EC2
Instances. Creating snapshots for instances.
 Start & Stop & Reboot & Terminate of AWS instances.
 Detaching the disk from one instance and attaching the disk to another
instance.
 Create snapshot for volumes & deploy volumes using snapshot.
