Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Understanding the Self in Second Year College

I. OBJECTIVES

With the use of varied examples and referenced definitions the learners with at least
85% accuracy are expected to:

a. explain the basic concept of self as a product of social reality;


b. describe how self is shaped by society and culture; and
c. examine one’s self relative to his/her external world

● Greetings

● Class Attendance
B. Presentation

● Preparatory Activity

a. What is Physical self?


b. What idea comes to your mind when you hear the word Physical?

● Powerpoint presentation about The Physical Self

● Randomly ask students the following questions:

a. How does Sociology affect a person, especially on how it builds his or her way of
life?

● Discussion

a. Definition of Sociological Self


b. Different theories of Sociological Self
c. Concepts and ideas of Sociological Self

C. Practice

Instruction: Ask students to get ¼ piece of paper and answer the question: Of all
topics that we have discussed in Understanding The Self, which one had made an
impact to you as a person? Explain what you have learned from that topic and how it
relates to your life.
D. Performance
Instruction: The students will be tasked to Answer this Question: In your own
opinion what is Beauty? the student is required to share their own understanding
through a reflection paper with only 5 sentences. After accomplishing the task provided,
students should submit their output on Google Classroom. Each student will be given
ample time to finish and will be given 50 points once the task is completed.
