• Content Server IDE Plug-in for Eclipse 10.5.7 for Windows and Linux
The Content Server IDE Plugin for Eclipse (CSIDE) is a source code-based development environment
that you can use to extend Content Server. CSIDE provides tools for creating new modules and a run-
time environment for testing and debugging modified functionality. The Content Server SDK package
is only the Eclipse Plug-in allowing for development of OScript. It relates to other APIs which are
released and maintained separately.
CSIDE must be installed on the same machine as a Content Server installation. The modifications
you develop in CSIDE on one platform can be deployed in a Content Server installation on any
supported operating system.
The existing Content Web Services CreateMember() method was deprecated. The other
Create*() methods should be used instead.
The Content Server SDK documentation was removed from the Content Server SDK installation
package, and is now hosted and maintained on the Knowledge Center.
The following topics have been removed from the Content Server SDK documentation:

Note: For the latest compatibility information for OpenText products, refer to the Compatibility
Matrix (https://knowledge.opentext.com/go/matrix) on the OpenText Knowledge Center.

To support the new 64-bit feature introduced in Content Server 10.5, a number of the existing data
types in the CWS WSDLs changed from a 32-bit int to a 64-bit long. With this change, the default
CWS application name changed to cws (instead of the old les-services name). This change will
not affect any existing applications that were written using an older version of the CWS WSDLs.
Existing applications that are updated to use the new CWS WSDLs may be impacted by this change
because of incompatibilities between the int and long data types. In most cases, the fixes for these
issues will be trivial and the compiler will issue errors or warnings for each case. To accommodate
this change, the Content Server 10.0 Update 12 version of CWS (les-services) has been included
in Content Server 10.5. This will allow existing applications to update using a more recent version of
CWS without having to update directly to the new 64-bit version of CWS.
Important Note: The new 64-bit version is the only supported version at run time for Content Server
10.5. You must point all applications using CWS to use the new cws endpoints, not the les-
services endpoints. The les-services application is provided only to allow existing applications
to update to a more recent version of CWS without having to update directly to the new 64-bit version
of CWS. At run time, all applications should point to the new CWS application.
5.3 Patches
OpenText also recommends that you check the OpenText Knowledge Center
(https://knowledge.opentext.com/) for any patches or documentation updates that may have been
posted after this release.
