Assignment Task

Draft Formative Task Submission

You can submit a full/partial draft of your work in week 7 for feedback.

Formative tasks give you the opportunity to check your understanding of key
concepts, and therefore help you prepare for the final portfolio submission.

Your lecturer will provide verbal/written feedback to help you improve your
assignment, before submitting your final portfolio in week 10.

Submit a copy of your draft using the Turnitin formative draft link by the given deadline in
Week 7. You can find the deadline for your draft on iLearn. You can submit your draft on
iLearn under the ‘My Assessment’ tab.

Final portfolio submission

Please submit your portfolio as a Word document.

You are advised to use the student guidance document available on iLearn to help
you while completing the portfolio, as it gives tips on how to maximise your marks.

You are encouraged to use a calculator carefully and to ensure that you show all
steps of your working out for each calculation to achieve full marks. Always check
you have read the questions carefully by checking your answers before submitting.

Complete all four sections which are linked to the learning outcomes for this
module. This will make up your portfolio of evidence.

Academic Integrity

You must ensure that the submitted assignment is all your own work and that all sources
used are correctly acknowledged and referenced. Your reference list should be placed at
the end of your assignment. Penalties apply to assignments which show evidence of
academic unfair practice. (See the Student Handbook which is on the homepage of your
module and also in the Induction Area).

return adult ticket to Birmingham last year before the increase? (Round your
answer to two decimal places)
[4 marks]

f) Rail National have made the decision to continue to increase their ticket prices
by 5% each year for the next three years. What will the cost of a return adult
ticket to Edinburgh cost in 3 years. (Round your answer to 2 decimal places)

offer by the ten mobile networks. Please include the formula you
use for full marks.

ii) Use Excel to find the mean average of Gigabytes (GB) of data on
offer by the ten mobile networks. Please include the formula you
use for full marks.

iii) Based on your two answers in part i) and ii), which answer would
give a better indication of the average number of Gigabytes (GB)
of data on offer by the ten mobile networks.

iv) Give a reason for your answer to part iii).

[8 marks]

d) If you were to choose between ESCOT and Rebala, which one would you
personally choose? You must give a reason for your answer.

recorded offences in each year from 2013/14 to 2022/23. Take a screenshot
of your chart or graph and insert it into your portfolio.

[6 marks]

h) Based on your graph from part g), comment on the overall trend of shoplifting
