So, We have here 3 glass and each glass

has 4 popsicle sticks.

I need three pupils to come here in front . (The students will raise their hand)

count all popsicles sticks and write the
answer in the board.

4+4+4= 12 popsicle sticks the students counting and writing the answer)
''Excellent ''

I. Lesson Proper
A. Activity
Lets have a game ;

Entitled'' Multiplication Relay Race'': I will

group the students into two. Each team
should form a line. After forming a line, I
will show you a flashcard having a
multiplication problem. The first student in
the line will have to solve the problem
correctly performing the operation in the
board, followed by the second student
solving a new multiplication problem, until it
finally reaches the last student. and .(shout
‘’ang sexy ni ma'am’’) The first group who
will solve the multiplication problems
correctly will be the winner. (Motivation)

The winner will get prices.

Yes! Ma’am

More flash cards…

Did you enjoy the game?

B. Analysis

“Now, we’ll check your answers if correct!”

The teacher will post the flashcards on the board.

The students will answer.

C. Abstraction

a. Introduction: our topic is all about

multiplying 2- to 3- digit numbers by
1 digit without regrouping

it would be
Just like addition

easy to multiply
large numbers
by aligning (Listening)

them in vertical
column.

it would be
Just like addition

column. The product is 86

13 - multiplicand
X 3 - multiplier

39 - product
How will you multiply the numbers in vertical form ,
we will do it by place value .

Tens ones
1 3

X 3

multiply the digits in the ones place .

(3x3 =9)place the answer in ones place

Tens ones
1 3

X 3

3 9

Then , multiply the multiplier by the digit in tens

place (3 x 1= 3)

So what is the product ?

''Very good ''

Another example ;

Tens ones
4 3

X 2

multiply the digits in the ones place . The product is 936

(2x3 =6)place the answer in ones place

Tens ones
4 3

X 2

8 6
Then , multiply the multiplier by the digit in tens
place (2 x 4= 8)
So, what is the product ?

Another example ;

Hundreds tens ones

3 1 2

X 3

multiply the digits in the ones place .

(2x3 =6)place the answer in ones place

Hundreds tens ones

3 1 2

X 3

3 6

Then , multiply the multiplier by the digit in tens

place (3 x 1= 3)

Hundreds tens ones

3 1 2

X 3

9 3 6

Then , multiply the multiplier by the digit in

hundreds place (3 x 3= 9)

So, what is the product

In multiplying 2- to - 3 digit numbers by 1 digit

numbers without regrouping , remember the
following steps ;
 Multiply the ones. Write the product under
the ones place.

 Then, multiply the digit in the tens place by

multiplier. Write the product in tens place.

 Lastly multiply the digit in hundreds place by

multiplier . write the product under the
hundreds place.

D. Application
Solution ;
THINK, PAIR, SHARE !
Answer the following word problem by pair; 111
1. If Aubrey solves 7 Sudoku puzzles in every X 7
week , how many puzzles will he solve in 112 777
weeks ?

24
X 2
