Opening Prayer

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the

Holy Spirit, Amen.

Father Almighty, come with us today. Fill

our hearts with joy. Fill our minds with
learning, Fill our classroom with peace. Fill
our class discussions with fun and
knowledge. Fill our friendships with
kindness. And fill our school with love and
care to each other. Amen.
Good morning
class!
Time for us to get to know each other - with a twist!
Let’s think like a detective to debunk the lies
in our activity called “2 Truths and a Lie.” I’m
going to call a student who will say 3 things
about his/her life; two of these are true while
one should be a lie. Then the other students
have to find out which one is the lie. For
example, I am 18 years old, I like color yellow
and I am from Quezon Province.

Friend 1: Hey do you know that Ava is being bullied on
Facebook?

Friend 2: Really? That's too harsh.

Friend 1: Yeah right! But you know, I don't like her that
much either. Maybe she deserves it.

Friend 2: How could you say that? Nobody deserve to

be bullied. And I'm not sure if you are aware, but
bullying is actually criminal offense punishable by the
law.
Friend 1: Huh! Really now? What kind of punishment
you are talking about?

Friend 2: Well, I have just read article about it last

time. I remember it says "Anti-Bullying Act of 2013
Section 2 - that those who publicly dishonor or spread
malicious rumors to someone may face a libel case."

Friend 1: Oh! That sounds very serious. Can you tell me

more about libel? I'm sure I've heard it somewhere
before.
Friend 2: Sure! Libel is a published false statement that
is damaging to a person's reputation. When someone
post on Facebook that someone is thief although he is
not, that person who posted about it may be sued for
online libel.

Friend 1: Thanks for this vital information. I may need

something to do very urgent. Bye!
