PERFORMANCE TASK IN 3RD QUARTER - MATH 7
Goal: Your goal is to create a mini park in Bohol Wisdom School.
Role: You’re an Architect in charge of planning and designing a mini park for the
students in BWS.
Audience: You will be presenting your mini park plan to the Board of Trustees in BWS.
Situation: You must put all the required spaces into the mini park and making sure there
is enough space left for the students to walk.
Spaces:
6 Benches: Area = 2 sq. units; Perimeter = 6 sq. units
3 Swing Set: Area = 15 sq. units; Perimeter = 16 sq. units
Basketball Hoop: Area = 14 sq. units; Perimeter = 18 sq. units
4 Concrete Tables w/ chairs: Area = 30 sq. units; Perimeter = 22 sq. units
Product: By the guide of the required spaces, create a layout of how the mini park will
be set up on graphing paper. All spaces must be included in your layout. Each space
should have the correct area and perimeter. The spaces can be placed against the edges
but there must be at least 2 sq. units between all spaces so they can walk.
Standard: Your work will be judged according to the rubric(s) or criteria.
Accurateness – 50%
Cleanliness – 25%
Creativity – 25%
Total – 100%
