1. Overview Hardware
PLC:
Each SIMATIC PLC 15xx with a Profinet / Profibus interface can be used.
Size of the PLC depends on the line configuration.

Panel/HMI:
Minimum IPCxx7 (Win7)

2. Software Installation

2.1 IPC277E (Sample)

2.2 Installation TIA WinCC Advance RT

For the installation of WinCC flexible Runtime you need an installation CD with the current Version.
Select only “Runtime / Simulation” (“Licence Manager” will be installed automatically) and “ProSave”.
When the installation is finished you have to restart your computer.
Install the latest update.

2.3 Ethernet interface Panel PC

Open the control panel of your PC (or use the symbol in the taskbar) and choose “Network and Sharing
Center” to change the adapter settings.

Open the properties of your Local Area Connection and set your IP address.
This IP address has to be the same as in your WinCC project.

2.4 Set PG / PC Interface

Open the control panel of your PC und choose “Set PG/PC interface” to set your access point of the
Application.

Choose the access point of the Application. Make sure you choose the right connection which ends with
“TCPIP”.
For example: S7 Online (Step 7)  Intel(R) 82579LM Gigabit … TCPIP.1

2.5 Installation DiagAddOn

Starting the set_up file “SICAR_Diag_AddOn V2.x.x.exe” as administrator.

The application will be installed to the default path “C:\xxxxx\SICAR_LP_CS”.

Create a shortcut on Desktop

2.5.1 Creating a new project

With the installation of DiagAddOn setup create in folder “LP_Projects” two project folder, “application” and
“sample”

Make a copy of “sample”

Rename the new prject folder to your project specific name. (e.g. “New Project”)

Rename the copied project files (“sample”) with the new project name (e.g. “New Project”), mandatory to use
the same name.

Important: Execution “as Administrator”. Otherwise you´ll get a Run Time Error.

2.5.2 Basic parameterization

For the communication between PLC and HMI different parameterizations must be done first.
This setting is done in the mask ‘P_system‘.

Project Declaration of directory and name of the project

Panel number: Input of the panel number

Possible settings: 1 ... 8
There must always be an operator panel No.1.
If there is more then one panel connected to a PLC, these
must be numbered in series.

Path RSS Feed: File path for RSS-files, if there is no entry no Feed is generated

Options RSS Feed & SK – MB - SYS

TopTen evaluation: Send / Generate: Sequences, Messageblocks, System messages

Diagnosis options Display with / without DB-names

Display with absolte address and symbolic or only with symbolic

IP-Adresse: Assign the IP-Adress of the PLC

2.5.2.1 Parametrization mode ON/Off

In this mode, the data of system setting and movements can be modified.
The parameterization takes place in the same masks as in the “normal operation“.
Additional entry fields, for data inputs are activated in the masks.

With this button parameterization mode will be

enabled

and

disabled.

When the button is pressed, a password question will be activated. The password is “simatico“.

The change of background color signifies whether “normal operation“ or “parameterization mode“ is
activated:

Normal operation: background color gray Parameterization mode: background color turquoise

2.5.2.2 Modification of system setting in normal operation

A requested line can be activated by touch or using a mouse. The selected line will change background color
to blue and a drop down menu will be displayed.

After pressing the disk symbol l the modification will be stored into the project data
base. These setting is available after initial restart of the operator panel software.

In normal operation, only the following parameters can be modified:

 Language
 Representation of softkeys

2.5.2.3 Modification of system setting in parameterization mode

The input fields can be activated by using the mouse or touch, they can be modified using the keyboard.
The setting of parameters which showing a menu, can be selected by using the mouse or touch.
The settings can be stored by using the button with the disk symbol.

In parameterization mode, only the following parameters can be modified:

 Project path
 Project
 Panel number
 Path for RSS Feeds
 Options for RSS Feed and TopTen Evaluation
 Options Diagnosis
 IP address of PLC

Note for changing the Project path

The new directory must exist, means DiagAddOn is already installed in the “new” directory.
If his is not the case, input of new path name is not accepted.

2.5.3 Stop the application

To close the application press the button with the Stop symbol and the password
dialog will come up

Enter the password “simatico” followed by return.

2.5.4 Switch between WinCC RT and DiagAddOn

To switch from WinCC RT to DiagAddOn use the button “Diag AddOn”. With the event “Click” the script
“SwitchToLP” is executed and the DiagAddOn is opened.

Switch to DiagAddOn

To switch back from DiagAddOn to WinCC RT a fixed button in the application is assigned to this function.
This is realized by script „lp_flex.vbs“.

Return to WinCC Runtime

The script is located in the installationfolder of DiagAddOn, e.g.: C:\Program Files (x86)\SICAR_LP_CS.
