3.3 Bake hardenability in mechanical properties (This Standard applies to SP125 only.)
The bake hardenability value shall be the increased value of the yield point when the manufacturer
tested the steel before shipment according to the Appendix (Testing method of paint bake hardenability)
of JIS G 3135 (Cold rolled high strength steel sheets with improved formability for automobile structural
uses). (However, the lower yield point shall be used for materials ordered according to the previous
NES.)

6. LUBRICATION DIVISION
Steel sheets shall be lubricated unless otherwise specified. Divisions and symbols of high-lubrication
antirust oil and solid lubricant application shall be in accordance with Table 6.

Remark: A special tolerance may be specified by agreement between the handling parties concerned,
when specifically necessary.
8. SHAPE
8.1 Flatness
The maximum value for flatness shall be in accordance with Table 12 (Flatness A specified in JIS G
3141).
Remarks: 1. For flatness, use a steel sheet cut from a steel strip for which appropriate flatness correction has been
applied. The flatness means a value obtained by deducting the nominal thickness of steel sheet placed
on the surface plate from the measured value of maximum distortion. It shall be measured on the upper
surface of the steel sheet. (Fig. 1)
2. In addition to the above, flatness may be specified through agreement between the parties concerned
with shipping and receiving in cases where especially severe control is required.
3. For the coil, it shall be the reference standard. Flatness shall be specified through agreement between
the parties concerned with shipping and receiving when it is harmful for practical use.

9. TEST
The test method and the test piece shall be in accordance with Table 14.
10. INSPECTION
Steel sheets shall pass Items 3., 4., 5., 6., 7. and 8. in terms of mechanical properties, internal defect,
surface defect, surface roughness, dimension and shape, etc.

M2020_2021-N
11. MARKING
Type symbol, inspection number or serial number, dimension, quantity or weight, and manufacturer’s
name or abbreviation shall be marked on the approved steel sheets after inspection by an appropriate
method.
14. REPORT
If the manufacturing process of the steel or any agreement between the parties is changed, such change
shall be reported and approved before implementation.
If the change covers the entire Nissan group, it shall be reported to the Material Department of Nissan
Headquarters and the responsible sections of Production Engineering Department and Material
Engineering Department. If the change is limited to a plant, it shall be reported to the Engineering
Department and the Inspection Department of the plant.
15. OTHERS
Appearance, weight and inner and outer diameters of the coil shall be determined by agreement between
the concerned parties at each plant.

17.3 Others
The SP128 shall satisfy the contents specified for the SP120 for the results of the dimension, the
shape, etc. in Sections 7. and 8. The applicable sheet thickness shall be 1.6 mm or less.
