Program Requirements
To earn your Executive MBA degree, you must:
● Complete all courses in the curriculum within the required time frame.
● Achieve scores of at least 80% in the graded SMARTCASE lessons. (SMARTCASEs
can be taken as many times as you want. Only the best score will be counted
towards your final grade.)
● Complete the exams associated with each concentration and your chosen
specializations. The minimum passing score is 80%.
● Complete the written projects and oral examinations (video presentations.)
● Complete the Capstone Project and Presentation. In order to graduate, you must
submit and pass both your written Capstone project (with a score of 3 or higher)
and your Capstone presentation (with a score of 2 or higher).
● Submit the required documents that confirm your identity, eligibility, and past
academic performance as referenced in your EMBA application.
A final overall score of 80% is the minimum to graduate. The distinction of Honors is
awarded to the top 10% of each cohort upon graduation. Students who graduate behind
schedule are not eligible to receive this distinction. View our grade calculation article for
more on how your grade is weighted.
SMARTCASEs - 10%
As you progress through lessons in Quantic, feel free to explore different answer options
(both correct and incorrect) that trigger helpful feedback. You are not expected to get all
"correct answers" while you are learning—mistakes are an important part of learning,
after all—so, you aren't graded on regular lessons; however, you are graded on
SMARTCASE lessons. Only your top SMARTCASE score will count towards your final
grade, so you can feel free to take SMARTCASEs as many times as you like.
Exams - 60%
You will take eight Concentration Exams and three Specialization Exams over the course
of your program. These exams are made available after each concentration according to
your schedule, or after you've completed the regular coursework for each specialization.
The exams are all open-book and may consist of more than one lesson. They're similar in
format to SMARTCASEs, meaning there are no open-response questions. For more about
the concentration exams, click here.
The Capstone Project consists of both a written project and a presentation component.
Over the program's final five months, students can complete either a business plan or an
executive strategy report. Throughout this period, students will conduct research, attend
webinars, and have the opportunity to meet with faculty to discuss their projects.
Submitting and passing both the written plan (with a score of at least 3) and presentation
(with a score of at least 2) is required for graduation.
Specializations
Quantic specializations allow EMBA students to get a deeper understanding of topics
they’re interested in. In order to graduate, each student needs to complete three
specializations, although students can take as many as they'd like. If a student completes
more than three specialization exams, only the top three specialization exam scores will
be counted toward that student's final grade. All completed specializations, along with
the exam score, will be included on the student's Quantic transcript. More information is
available on our specializations support page.
Academic Integrity
Here at Quantic, we believe that learning is best accomplished by “doing”—this ethos
underpinned the design of our active learning platform, and it likewise informs our
approach to the completion of projects and presentations for our degree programs. We
expect that all of our graduates will be able to deploy the concepts and skills they’ve
learned over the course of their degree, whether in the workplace or in pursuit of
personal goals, and so it is in our students’ best interest that these assignments be
completed solely through their own efforts with academic integrity.
Quantic views the use of ChatGPT and other large language models as one acceptable
tool in the research and writing process; however, the text produced through the use of
such tools should not replace the substance of your assignment. There are known issues
with AI-generated text, including inaccuracies and uncited plagiarism of online sources,
and the student will bear the responsibility for errors or code of conduct violations within
submitted works. Quantic requires that all text generated by ChatGPT or another LLM
be cited properly using these conventions.
Quantic takes academic integrity very seriously—we define plagiarism as: “Knowingly
representing the work of others as one’s own, engaging in any acts of plagiarism, or
referencing the works of others without appropriate citation.” This includes both misusing
or not using proper citations for the works referenced, and submitting someone else’s
work as your own. Quantic monitors all submissions for instances of plagiarism and all
plagiarism, even unintentional, is considered a conduct violation. If you’re still not sure
about what constitutes plagiarism, check out this two-minute presentation by our
librarian, Kristina. It is important to be conscientious when citing your sources. When in
doubt, cite! Kristina outlines the basics of best citation practices in this one-minute video.
You can also find more about our plagiarism policy here.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Library Services.

means of quick communication with Quantic staff, as well as the starting point for building
your cohort’s community. Through Slack, Engagement Coordinators act as guides
throughout the program, answer questions, moderate discussions, and share helpful
information and academic resources. More importantly, Slack is a convenient space to
exchange ideas, engage in discussions on course materials & concepts, and network
with your peers!
If you are new or relatively new to Slack as a platform, feel free to look over this Getting
Started page.
