With reference to above cited subJ€ct the Factory visit of M/s Gallantt Metal Lhlted, Survey na. 7?51t,
Near Toll Gate, Village Stmakhyali, Tal-Bhachau, Kutch. Gujrat (India) was visited by SQME. Bridge/Struchrre
Engineer from M/s CEG Ltd,, along with Concessionaire representative from IRB on deted 01.03.2019 to
02,03,2019. The report i9 as under:-
(i) The above plant vras inspected and lt was obserued that this plant is an lntegrated plant which produces
their own billet frorn sponge iron direct reduction of Iron from irofl ore & there after manufacturlng finished
Ti4T bar witi "Thermax Quenched" process.
(ii) Factory is having adequate quallty control system at every stage of process.
(lli) CopY of the test certificate for tests carried out and witnessed has also been attach€d herewith as per IS:
1786:2008.
(iv) The chemical composition of C, S&Parefoundin limitas per IS:1786:2008, Table 4.2.
On request by the Concessionair€ fior pmcurement of steel from the above source i.e. from M/s Gallantt
Metal ltd.r can be accepted for procurement of rElrfordng bars bject tg th€ Conc6slonaire may please ensure
that as per clause 1009.3 of MoRTH specfication (5h Revision)-"All steel shall be procured from "Original
Produc€rs'who manufactJre bi$ets dlrectly from iron orcs and roll the bllleB to produce stael onfiorming IS:
1786:2008, No re-mlled steel shall be incorporate in the works.
Hotlever IE communicating their concurrence for procurement of reinforcing bars fiom above source i,e,
M/s Gallanff Metal Ltd., subrect to the following:-
(i) Its performance based at site & conForming IS: U86:2008,
(ii) Each lot of Reinforcement st€el shall be dirEctly procured from Factory along wtth pmper hvoic€ &
manufacturing test certiF[ate.
(iii) Since you €r€ cotforming to I5: 178612008, accordingly ,oint sampling from every diametor & lots of all
material has to be got tested by Third pardes (as suggested by IE) shall b€ got approved prior to
lncotporaffng in any proiect activities for establishing that the mitcrial used conform to required standard
& sp€cifications,
(lv) During tests, if the matedal is found nonronfiorming to the specification the source shall be deemed as
rejeded/withdrawn automatically and material shall be removed from the site,
