TO LAUNCH THE APRIL-JUNE 2024 SESSION OF TI KIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA
(HIND) EXAM.
‘THE MINISTER OF STATE, MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION HEREBY ANNOUNCES AS FOLLOWS,
“The 2024 session af the Higher National Diploma (HND) Exam is launched with effect from the
date of signature of this press release ‘
1 -ORGANISATION OF THE NATIONAL EXAM
The April-June 2024 session of the Higher National Diploma (HND) exam shall take place in
the following four (4) centres: Bamenda, Buea, Douala and Yaoundé. Other examination centres
could be created if need arises.
‘The Higher National Diploma Exam shall be organized in two phases:
+ Practical examination : 23" to 27" April 2024
* Written examination ; 11" to 16% June 2024
However, for the conduct of the exam in some specialities, the grouping of candidates
could be done in the above-mentioned centres if infrastructural constraints as require, The
candidates concerned shall be informed in due course.
H- APPLICATION MODALITIES, FEES, REQUIREMENTS AND REGISTRATION
PROCEDURE FOR THE EXAM.
1.1 APPLICATION MODALITIES
IL1.1 Candidates to the HND National Exam may be either internal or external candidates.
ILL1.2 The status of Internal eandidate shall be reserved for a candidate (new or old) presented
by an accredited institution and who can show proof of two years of training in an approved HND
cycle, and a year of preparation for candidates of the field: Medical and Biomedical Sciences.
IL.1.3 The status of Exéernal candidate shall be reserved for a candidate who has failed one or
several sessions of the HND exam and who is not presented by an institution.
IL14 Repeaters shall resit all papers in which they obtained marks below 50/100, ic.

IL.L.5 The application file shall include the following digitized documents (by seanner, in PDF
version only):
a) Inter
{All stamped documents should not be dated above 3 months
= A personal information sheet bearing a passport size photograph, stamped in current use and signed
by academic officials, This information sheet shall be filled and edited on the website:
http://examens.minesup-daua.net using the access code provided by the institution after payment of
examination fees;
= A certified true copy of national identity card, passport or refugee’s card; -
- A Certified true copy of birth certificate; ‘
us- A transcript of the year of preparation of the HND cycle signed by competent authorities (new
candidates), for candidates of the Medical and Biomedical Sciences Field;
- A transcript of the first year of the HND eycle signed by competent authorities (new candidates) or
stamped copy of the transcript showing that the candidate previously failed the HND (old candidates) ;
- A certified true copy of the Secondary School LeavingC: Brevet de Technicien, Baccalaureate,
General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’ obtained in a single session in two subjects
(excluding religious studies), the foreign diploma or its equivalence recognized by the Ministry of
Higher Education (a receipt of submission of an equivalence file is accepted).
NB. The online registration procedure for internal candidates shall follow the steps below:
> Payment of examination fees is done by the school, at an “Express Union” counter of your
choice, in the name of the Financial Officer of the Department of University Accreditations
and Quality. Any other means of payment will not be accepted;
> Collect the access code from the school; 2
> Go to the website http://examens.minesup-daug.net andJenter this code to access the
registration form;
Fill in the form, save it and edit the personal information sheet that is generated!
Scan the original copy of the candidate files and submit on the examination website

b) External jidates
‘All stamped documents should not be dated above 3 months

transaction cade of the payment of examinations fees via “Express Union”;
+ A certified true copy of national identity card, passeport or refugee’s card;
~ A certified true copy of birth certificate;
- A cattified true copy of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate: Brevet de Technicien,
Baccalaureate, General Certificate of Education Advanced Level obtained in a single session in
at least two subjects, excluding Religious Studies, foreign certificates or’ its equivalence
recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education (A receipt of the submission of an equivalence
file is accepted);
- A stamped copy of transcript showing that the candidate previously failed the HIND.
NB: The online registration procedure for external candidates shall follow the steps below:
> Payment of examination fees is done at any “Express Union” counter of your choice, in the
name of the Financial Officer of the Department of University Accreditations and Quality. Any
other means of payment will not be accepted.

umber to access the registration form.
> Fill in the form, save it and edit the individual information sheet that is generated; «
> Scan the original copy of the candidate's files and submit on the examination website.
IL.2. REGISTRATION FEES FOR THE EXAM
IL.2.1 For the 2024 session, registration fees have been fixed according to’ the various
categories:

11.2.2 All payments of registration fecs for the HND National Exam will be done by
“Express Union” transaction.
11.2.3 The registration fees for any other specialty will be fixed in due course.
11.2.4 Registration fees for the examination is non-refundable.
11.2.5 The fees for the defence of internship reports and supervised projects is three (3000)
thousand per candidate in all examination centres.
III. REQUIREMENTS AND REGISTRATION PROCEDURES FOR THE EXAM
TIL1 Only Institutions with an authorization to open issued before or in 2022 will be allowed to
present candidates for the current session of the Higher National Diploma, in the fields, specialties or
options concerned.
II1.2 Fach Institution preparing for the National Exams must first pre-register all its level
1 students, and preparatory year students of Medico-sanitary, Science and Biomedical

IL-4 All proposed examination papers requiring basic equipment should be accompanied with
a cost estimated for each candidate.
IILS The payment of the examination fees and registration of candidates are open until
Friday 15 March 2024.
TIL6 The Heads of the said Institutions will forward the registration files of their candidates
online, latest Saturday 16 March 2024. :
TIL7 Extemal candidates shall submit complete «pplication files online, latest Saturday 16

UIL8 The penalty for late submission of application files shall amount to a sum of ten thousand
francs (10 000) CFA per file, for files deposited between Monday 18 March and Saturday 30"
March 2024. eee
II1.9 The penalty for late submission of application files online shall amount to a sum of ten
thousand francs (10 000) CRA per file, from Monday 28" March to Saturday 30 March 2024. It
concerns institutions who carried out pre-registration, examination papers proposals, payment
of examination fees and online registration within the deadlines and whose files were not
deposited at the same period.
IIL.10 Examination Centres are responsible for the collection and verification of additional
items of the file (internship attestations and transeript of the secor HIND), and send the list of
those schools to the National Committee, latest 17 May 2024.
4sIIL11 The reports for the defence of internship reports and supervised projeets shall be
forwarded to the National Committee by Chiefs of Centre, according to the list of candidates
having completed their file, latest Friday 03" May 2024,
IV, EXEMPTIONS
In accordance with the regulation in foree, unsuccessful candidates, who obtained
mark(s) equal to/or above 50/100 or 10/20 in previous sessions of the HND National
Examination, will keep the said marks for the HND National Exam.
. However, if a candidate sits for a paper that he/she already validated, this shall result in
the cancellation of the riiark previously obtained in the paper repeated
V. PUBLICATION OF THE LISTS OF CANDIDATES
Upon verification of files, the National Committee for the Organisation of National Exams will
publish the final lists of candidates authorised to sit for the exam before the start of the Practical
examination,
Only candidates who are duly registered shall be allowed into the examination hall for the
Higher National Diploma Exam, with their National Identity Card, Passport or Refugee’s Card.
Any false information provided by the candidate shall automatically disqualify the latter
and expose the defaulter and the Institution concerned to legal sanctions provided by the
regulations in foree.
The examination code and programme will constitute other texts of the Minister of Higher
Education.
This press release shall be registered and published wherever necessary
