Objective
Despite its short history as a formal academic discipline, computer science has made a number of fundamental contributions to science and society which includes Digital Revolution. State-of-the-art research areas in computer science derived various allied fields like Image Processing, GIS & Remote Sensing, Microelectronics and its applications, Data Warehousing and Data mining, Networking and Wireless Technology. The symposium will highlight the potential and new development in these areas and is open to explore new areas also. The main objective of the symposium is to provide a nation forum for meaningful interaction among Scientists, Engineers, Professionals, Researchers and Students from all over the country.
UNIVERSITY OF KALYANI
The University of Kalyani was established in 1960 with a campus area of over 400 acres in Kalyani town 50 km away from Kolkata. It is well-connected by road and railway, with a railway station very close to the University. The department of Computer Science & Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Technology & Management has been established in 1992 where Ph. D. Programmes along with two AICTE accredited, courses, M. Tech. (CSE) and M.C.A are run by the University.
UNIVERSITY OF CALACUTTA
The University of Calcutta was established on January 24, 1857 by the incorporation of an Act of the Legislative Council of the then British India as the first University in Modern India. Venue: Barrackpore
Barrackpore acquired the name as the site of the first major military base that was established in 1772 of the British East India Company. Prior to that time, Barrackpore was known as Chanak, and is mentioned by that name in the Manasamangal. Arguably, it is also believed that during the regime of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, this place has been a major collection centre of Khajana-Taxes and then it was named Barbakpur from the name of its Jaigirdar-owner of land. With time the name changed to Barrackpore.
Two rebellions against British authority took place in Barrackpore in the 19th century; the first of this came in 1824, under Sepoy Binda Tiwary. In 1857, Barrackpore was the scene of an incident that some credit with starting the Indian rebellion of 1857; an Indian soldier Mangal Pandey, attacked his British Commander and was subsequently court-martialled. Geography & Climate Barrackpore is a major sub division town of North 24 parganas district of West Bengal. It is located at 22.76ON 88.37OE. It has an average elevation of 15 mtrs from the sea level. The city is in greater Kolkata and is about 23 k.m. from proper Kolkata. The nearest railway station Barrackpore is an important station on Sealdah-Naihati line. The nearest Airport is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport at Dumdum. The average temperature during the symposium is between 22-27OC. Conference Kit Conference Kit includes the Pre-Conference Proceedings, Stationary items, Lunch Coupons, etc. The Post-conference Proceedings (with ISBN No. 9788192180823) will be published with the presented papers.
