The career’s Master of your school is planning a meeting for Parents of S.1
learners to sensitize them and their daughters/sons about choices and new
developments in career today.
The Head teacher of the school has instructed the career’s master to organize for

Akello’s mother has served as a secretary to one of the big offices called Accounts
Departments at the District for the last 10 years. At the beginning of the year, the Head of
Department asked for the reports of the previous year, starting from January to December,
which she had not prepared. Akello’s Mother was tasked with typing and producing a lot of
documents concerning the reports which took her the whole day typing. After producing all the
reports, Akello’s mother started complaining of Headache, back pain, neck pain, wrist pain, Eye
strain.
As an ICT learner, suggest possible causes of such pain to a professional like Akello’s
mother and advise Akello on how he can help his mother overcome this pain

Kato a teacher of history and CRE, studied using the knowledge Based
curriculum, when even computer literacy as a topic was not taught to
all students to enable them get the basic ICT knowledge.
The Head teacher requested all teachers during the Holiday to teach
learners online lessons while at home, of which he could not do.

AS the new lower secondary school curriculum is being rolled out,
Directors and Heads of secondary school institutions have been
involved in training workshops intended to familiarize them with the
curriculum. In most of these workshop communications, it has been
directly and indirectly communicated that they should set up rooms in
their schools where ICTs can be used and kept safely.
After such workshops, the Head teacher invited the ICT teacher and his
learners for a meeting to advise him on some of those things he should
not miss a part from computer sets in the new computer laboratory he
plans to set up.
Task:
Assuming you are one of the learners in such a meeting, write your
input to the meeting regarding the Head teacher’s concern.
