• While most video games from the start are designed for
commercial use and playability; some video games are from
the start designed as artistic pieces that have game interaction.
• These games can be made from existing games that are
modified or could be created from scratch. An example of this
is the system called PainStation. Made in 2001 as an interactive
art piece, this artwork features the classic game of PONG that
is connected to a sensor that makes the player feel different
types of feedback such as heat, electric shock and whips
depending on the progress of the player.
