What core themes / key strengths need to be obvious to the reader of my new resume?
Look at the job descriptions you’ve identified as high-potential target roles. What patterns are you
seeing across multiple job descriptions in terms of required or high-priority skills and experience?
This is a great place to focus as you decide what to include in your Summary section.
Example: I need to make sure it’s clear that I’m highly analytic and have a record of success in
translating large data sets into actionable insights.

Should I create a technical skills section and list software platforms, programming
languages, operating systems, etc. that are important to my field?
This section can be separate from your Key Skills section and is typically listed at the end of the
resume, unless you work in a highly technical role that requires these skills as a core part of the job.
In this case, you may wish to list them higher up on the resume.
