INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS:

 This Assessment is weighted towards 50% of summative assessment 1 and is


compulsory.
 No Word Limit for the assessment:
 Your submission (answer) will be subjected to an anti-plagiarism software test.
 The Assessment has questions where your skills and knowledge expected to be
acquired throughout the term is tested.
 In the Assessment, single source plagiarism should not be more than 5% and
overall plagiarism should not be more than 20%.
 Referencing should be made in Harvard style.
 Answer the Question in one Word document and upload the document in
PDF/WORD Format on to a Microsoft Teams platform provided to you as email
notification.
 Wherever execution of programmed codes/Tableau is required, code/visualise it
in Tableau software installed in your laptop or on Tableau online tool.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The learning outcomes that are being assessed in this assessment are ability:
 To understand the role of business analyst in an organization.
 To develop a knowledge on data frames of business processes as excel sheets
 To understand the importance of various data visualisations of business data
using TABLEAU business analysis software tool and develop research skills.
 To learn and apply the findings of the data visualisations of an organization, to
make recommendations and for further business decision making and strategy
formulation.
 Identify the indicators of good practices for business.

ASSESSMENT ON – BUSINESS DATA ANALYTICS USING TABLEAU

Problem consideration:

As a Business & Data Analyst consider a Business / Organisation case. Construct a


DataFrame (CSV Sheet/Excel Sheet) for a specific Business / Organisation purpose
and use Tableau software to perform Business Data Analytics.

Your submission should include the following:

 The submission should include a detailed write-up about the Business /


Organisation case.
 The report should include the explanation about the dataset.
 Objectives / need for data analysis should be listed in the report.
 Evidence for use of Tableau software need to be present in the report as screen
shots / images. Link for the Tableau work book need to be produced at the last
section of the report.
 The submission should include not less than 10 various visualisations in form of
charts.
 Geographic data visualisations on maps need to be submitted as one of the
visualization.
 The visualisations can be organized on one Tableau Dashboard or on more than
one dashboard. Present the dashboards as screen shots in the report.
 Each visualization should have finding(s) and interpretations. Findings should have
proper clarity and should be understandable.
 Findings and recommendations should be based on key performance indicators of
the business under consideration.
 The recommendations towards business vision / mission / goal(s) / objective(s)
should be formulated and clearly dictated under specific headings. The

recommendations should be based on the findings from visualising the data.
