generalizations. For example, 10,000 is five digits, so we refer
to it as in the tens of thousands.
In business presentation, we should be able to provide
data and facts in terms of quantity, percentage, sum of money

Numbers
Numbers are highly intertwined in our life and appear in almost all areas in our life. There are
some kinds of numbers that we have to notice. They are used in different way from one to another. To
express quantity, we can use cardinal number. Meanwhile, ordinal number is used to express order
and distribution. Besides, there are some other kinds of numbers to express mathematical process
and express time.

Cardinal number is a number that tells Ordinal number is number that tells
about how many of something there are. For about position of something in list or to
example one, two, three, four, etc. It is used to indicate order. The order can be used to
indicate the quantity of something. It doesn’t mention size, importance, chronology and so
include decimal and fraction because it is used on. Instead of saying one, it is prefered to
for simple conting. It is used to answer the say first. For example, “In what floor do you
question “How Many..?”. For example “How study?” “I study on the second floor”’
many sibling do you have?” “I have four
siblings”.

1 One 11 Eleven
2 Two 12 Twelve 1st First 11th Eleventh
3 Three 13 Thirteen 2nd Second 12th Twelfth
4 Four 14 Fourteen 3rd Third 13th Thirteenth
5 Five 15 Fifteen

1000 a/ one thousand 10th Tenth 20th Twentieth
10.000 ten thousand
100.000 a/ one hundred thousand

A fraction simply tells us how many parts of a whole we have. You can recognize a fraction by
the slash that is written between the two numbers. We have a top number, the numerator, and a
bottom number, the denominator. For example, 1/2 is a fraction.

1/4 : a quarter 3/19 : three nineteenths or three over
