The greatest leaders I have ever known have inspired greatness not just in the students at
our school, but also in the teachers and staff as well. This did this through love, compassion,
determination, positive energy and grit. I believe in inspiring educators to create a better
education for the youth of tomorrow. My thoughts will be focused on problem solving and my
words will be caring and compassionate. I will lead with understanding and the knowledge
necessary to incite greatness in others. I expect to meet challenges head on and will lead others to
It is my firm belief that every person is created in God’s image and thus, has the
opportunity to grow, learn and become a better person each day. I believe that there is
opportunity in our everyday lives to be a light to this world as Jesus was a light to us. Through
the Holy Spirit I believe I can make a change in this world for the better, by sharing inspiration,
motivating others and helping those around me reach their full potential. I create high
expectations because I know that others can rise to the occasion. Together, I believe that we can
create an educational system that is beneficial for staff, students, teachers, admin and district
personnel without exclusion of any group or subgroup of peoples. I also believe our actions can
be kinds and compassionate and can lead to major changes in this world.
Based on the research I have done on different leadership styles; I believe that my
leadership style is aligned best with the transformational leadership style. A transformational
leader put others wellbeing ahead of their own and cares deeply for others. Transformational

leaders believe that others can become the best version of themselves and will build relationships
Because of my desire to inspire change in education, my leadership style aligns well with
Our attitude and choices can either add to or take away from a student’s experience in
our schools. So can the relationships we build. To ensure a school system of accountability for
every student’s academic and social success I must act with integrity and fairness which are
two values I hold high. My staff and students will see transparency in me, because to have
integrity which means that I have nothing to hide. I will continually uphold my morals and
ethical principles in order to have nothing to hide from my team. I will also build those
staff and students because it would allow me to know what people need to be successful. By
doing my best to get to know those in my school, I will be able to show my integrity and
“As its name implies, transformational leadership is a process that changes and
transforms people.” (Northouse, 2022) The very definition of a transformational leader is one
that inspires change and transforms other. This leadership style is effective in bringing about
change because it caters to the needs, desires, strengths, weaknesses and character traits of
those around you. According to a study published May of 2023, after asking 711 employees
providing higher-order goals and visions while leaving enough leeway to reach them.”
(Stemple, 2023)
This study concluded that transformational leaders not only give high expectations but
also give their team room to reach those goals. That is effective and inspirational!
Conclusion
“Believe in yourselves. Dream. Try. Do good.” This quote comes from the real inspiration
of my educational journey; Mr. Feeny, a beloved educator, neighbor, friend and character on the
90’s hit show Boy Meets World. The way he inspired change in this world was admirable for me
and sent me on this educational journey that is leading me to be a transformational leader. Much
like the beloved character, I wish to be a spark of inspiration to the next generation.
