An alarm system has a stand-by battery that keeps it working when main power fails. The probability of a power failure in any given week is 0.15. The probability of a battery failing in any given week is 0.04. Using this information, calculate the probability that both will fail in the same week over a 5 year period. The probability of a woman having toast for breakfast is 0.3. The probability of her newspaper being delivered on time is 0.75. The probability that she will go to work in her car is 0.2. Assuming these events are independent, calculate a) the probability that she will have toast and her newspaper will be delivered on time and b) the probability that she
